Preparing to finish Winter Bernie?

Yep! 7 merges isn't going to be easy, but I managed to get a decent stash. I might buy 1 of the Duo Byleth packs(I need Ruptured Sky anyway), for a bit of extra assurance.

The rare seasonal with a spark is always nice. I sure would have appreciated that for several other banners I pulled on...

Whoa that's how many it took for me to get Manuela who was the only one I wanted from this banner. Only started pulling because of spark but I got Sara too. And Lutesythia was literally my first sum. Guess this means my luck for future banners I want is all gone

True. I imagine a lot of F2P players wouldn't be too happy with another long requested feature being behind a paywall though.

IS could gain a ton of brownie points by giving everyone a free month of FEH Pass for Christmas, but that's wishful thinking at best.

L!F!Byleth came out sooner than expected. Byleth somehow is so much more popular than Corrin and Robin, we're still lacking L!M!Corrin and L!M!Robin. I really wanted staff flier Elincia to be true ;(

Didn't expect the new sparking feature, I won't complain, but I can definitely see some people getting enticed as there are some great picks here

Resplendent Est isn't going to sell the pass, but sparking on the legendary banner and NY banner might.

Fae opened the door for anything to be legendary. I hope Elincia gets it eventually also

Bah, I was hoping they would refrain from Resplendoing 3-4* units that are rarely used. I have a +6 Est I haven't used in forever since she does take some work to set up. Must suck to be Florina fan as Est's artwork is fine

Yeah definitely not a fan of the restricted sparking, that's pretty messed up. I'm sure it will pay off for them, sparking on these banners is huge. Although this one seems a little weak compared to the last couple. Spreading anti-Guard around seems less good than spreading around NFU.

Wonder if feh passers will also get to spark on seasonal banners

The update says it applies to legendary/mythic, special heroes (except revivals), or double special heroes. So, yes, it should work on the upcoming NY banner

what i was wondering is, will last year's Christmas banner have a spark again? normally when sparkable banners return exactly as they were, they're sparkable again, but i can see this being an exception.

Basically, all the banners most likely to get people to spend money in the first place.

Do regular banners make that much less? The only reason why I can think of is the popular characters are already out and people would rather shell out for more variants of them

I personally wouldn't claim normal banners don't sell. However, Gacha Games are notorious for their success based on fan service(of all kinds). That typically means alts, alts, and alts. Bikini this, Bulge that, super cute there, BARA BARA here.

There are still games that have "sellable banners." However! Alts just make that much of a difference. Awakening for example could still have a Inigo/Severa/Noire/Laurent banner where 3/4 are a guaranteed sell and poor Laurent is just as disliked as his mother. Three Houses could have a Felix/Judith/Rhea/Manulea banner where all 4 qualify as guaranteed sales. Or! You could put Manuela in a One-Piece, and givr Felix a "bulging swimsuit" later 2022 and make about twice as much on average.

Depending on the banner and resplendents, possibly. You could subscribe after you've already summoned 40 times if necessary

If anyone here plans to subscribe to spark on the Byleth banner, keep in mind the January Mythic banner can start as late as Jan 31. As such, if you want to have the opportunity to Spark on the January Mythic banner, you shouldn't subscribe until after Dec 31.

However, the other catch is the Nowi Resplendent expires before Dec 31. If you want Nowi, you have to commit to FEH Pass within the next 24 hours and it is unlikely to last until the Mythic banner.

My summon adventures today:

On Leg. banner, I got -Spd L!F!Byleth for free, then got two Seiros before getting B!Eirika. On that same circle, I was contemplating if I wanted to abandon so I can continue on blue and decided to switch to green. I have so many Seiros now, but need to figure out how to make her more threatening on defense as I switched her out for Otr. Also nabbed A!F!Corrin on that circle, just in time for her upcoming refine. Hope it's good. Trying to get another L!M!Byleth to increase scoring, and getting another B!Eirika means I can build that nasty Marisa now!

W!Altina's banner was hell of a pitybreaker/4* special banner for me. Here's everything I got:

Lysithea - happy to get another +Spd dupe to use as my primary, one dupe left
Igrene - happy to get another dupe to merge, one dupe left
Shinon - keep around dupe for now
Lewyn - very happy as I missed his revival banner and I really want to build him up
Sigurd - powercrept :(
Flying Olivia - more dancers is always a good thing and also more HM fodder

While my haul is good, I spent more orbs than I would have liked and still a long way to go before sparking on Leg. banner, so not sure if I'll end up going for W!Lys. I feel she's inferior to N!Corrin, so not really hurt if it doesn't happen

A brave weapon definitely wants an attack boon. I think she was the first unit I used trait fruit on. And yeah, I think Ninja Corrin is better also, but I pulled for W!Lysithea instead out of favoritism.

I decided to spend most of my orbs (almost 600) on the legendary banner. I want to +10 B!Eirika next year, and Seiros/Byleth are fine with me. Final haul is :

4 Eirika (including the sparked one from the pass)
3 Seiros
4 F!Byleth
1 M!Byleth
2 Ash
4* Specials : Ophelia, Ephraim, Quan, Hinoka, Selkie

Very pleased with this result; I only need two more Eirkas which can wait until the CYL revival. Not sure what I'll do with Seiros yet...maybe merge her for AR defense. I don't need her fodder.

Wow, looks like you guys have been stockpiling for a while. B!Eirika is one of the best merge projects you can do if you have the orbs for it. I am torn on if I want to feed one to Marisa because while Swift Surge + Atk/Spd Menace allows her to do fun things with Ruptured Sky/Moonbow twice in the same combat, she is not a personal fave and anything she can do, Eirika can do better. I'm not concerned about the grail cost since the only other project I have in line is Walhart, and I have time to save up for other projects as they become available with refines or new units

Yeah, I had been slowly saving up for a while, and Eirika was far enough along already that I went for it. It will be nice to have her alongside Duo Ephraim. I still have about 200 orbs left...if I don't want anything on the NY banner, I might try to get one more.

Speaking of grail projects, I decided to invest in Yen'fay after I realized I had so many grails laying around. Atk/Spd Solo 4 and Lull Atk/Spd for now. Not sure what else I want to do with him yet

Kyza is the TT+ unit.

Spurs getting a T3 is interesting. Gives a bit more than Joint Drives, but Cross Spur doesn't benefit the user in exchange.

Lyre has Atk/Spd Catch 3 which is nice if you want to fodder off one of the units who have Catch 4 and something else.

The cross spur skill seems like a great option for dancers. Like Duo Peony.

Duo Dagr's artwork is disappointing to me. Their mythic versions looked better. I think Fafnir got the best design
