What I find works for me is a usually "goody too shoes" characters. A Divine Soul/Divination Wizard based on Belldandy from Ah My Goddess was probably the easiest one to deal with. I find that I'm not a liar or bad person by nature, so trying to be a deceptive or angsty character doesn't work great. The one time it did was recenty, a Snorunt/Froslass named Lili/Lilith who is based on the Yuki-Onna. The rest of the party knows the killing for fun bit is their nature, but plays along because they (the character) never outwardly go against the party.

The one thing I say is, "Is my person working for the party or working for themselves, and by extension, is the player?" I had to let go of a few character who sounded good in theory (Rogues pretty much) because I was trying to be the murderhobo for the sake of it, not because the party was littered WITH them and played along.' Once I played an Undead Warlock Beetlejuice for the Lols, it became more fun. Same with a Sid the Sloth/Rocket Racoon Halfing Druid. I wasn't ever against the party and filled my own role in the background when needed.

As a DM, it is a different story. You can craft characters and portray them for or against the party. That's where I find the more villainous ones can be fleshed out without killing party dynamics.

I started watching the Halloween film series from scratch the other day -- I know I've seen the original before and possibly the sequel... but holy crap the 3rd movie. I didn't even know about it being a Michael-less movie so all throughout I kept wonder how he's gonna come in and suspecting maybe he does so as a sort of hero, like targeting Godzilla against your enemies kinda thing.

But once you get over the fact that it's not a Michael movie and it's its own thing... yo this is actually creepy and dark as fuck in its own right I actually love it.

Rob Zombie 1's alright, I mean I prefer Michael Myers as just an evil kid without explicit reason -- without the obvious bullying & parental abuse backstory. But as it's own thing, this new kid Myers does a good job with the role, and I like the early fixation with masks. I actually like the story building up Loomis's therapy more and watching Myers grow into a rather brutish dude (although RIP Donald Pleasence, that's a hard one to replace).

Speaking of hard to replace... when the remake actually gets to the core of Halloween 1 is where gets a bit mediocre. JLC frankly carried the original but in the remake she's a more typical kid. I'm not even that big on the original but this part of the remake just feels like a weaker version of it. Like it feels weird to not really get much of the original's stalking scenes. The rampage on Halloween night was also just incredibly dark, maybe it's my monitor but I could hardly tell what was happening.

I don't think it's on 3DS!... but yes I did buy the game on DS, just didn't get far in it. I remember getting to the first shop you can buy stuff from but that's it.

My family's been on Cogeco for as long as I can remember for Internet without much complaints... although this year's seen some annoying service disruptions, tbf one was a cut wire during the summer. My mom's condo however had a plan with Bell for TV+Internet which seemed pretty fancy but I can only imagine expensive with their TV plan, not that I know the details.

with Sally I remember her having issues... with I think Rogers? and while I was with her helped shift over to TekSavvy..which was also getting some service disruptions it seemed and not always reliable.

in anycase rn on Cogeco we're on an Internet-only plan, Gigabit for 113 :|... the issue I always find is just that ISPs only care about new customers since the discrepancy in pricing for new vs existing customers is always wild. That being said however... uh the new costumer pricing does last 10 friggin years apparently (120 months at $85/per)
