Yeah reminiscence is a gigantic ass drag, there's at least one really important thing each scene but it's usually just one thing. Being able to do the fights with appropriate weapon sets is really cool though, plus seeing how certain very different events were happening concurrently

Dive2 has a lot less repeated scenes and shit just keeps on getting more hype at least

Think I'll swap between grinding out the normal and bad end for route 3 and doing reminiscence. The game is so much easier when I slot tackle. Pretty sure I could beat everything with just that ability. I think I can see most of the weapon trees at this point so I think I'll probably be able to see everything by the time I do that. Then onto mastering stuff. Wondering when/if I'll unlock more health/boosters. Boosters especially would be nice.

I forget if you're actually in dive2 during reminiscence but you do unlock more available weapons to develop then. I was also gonna say that there's optional FCs you can earn by performing very well in certain fights, but it seems they're all in dive2 too...

I have for sure unlocked some FCs redoing sections really well in dive1. The dialogue also changes slightly. Definitely black whirlwind and genocide shotgun that I got recently were from that. Spectral missile and gigantic field were listed on the very basic spoiler free guide I've been using to get endings as performance based during route 1 and 2 respectively by doing even better in the fight that decides which ending you get. And dang, how many weapons are there if dive2 unlocks more? I've got to have close to 50 already. Just bought that damn 8000 cost laser and theres still one behind it.

oh yeah by the way you get a buyable thing that lets you toggle seeing all ending/scene nodes of a route on the route flowchart if you get 2 endings in it (so basically, bad + normal or good), so that's useful for picking up little missed scenes

and side note if you like the gameplay, divex isn't translated but it's got more gameplay content, if you wanna play more after finishing dive2. the story is like all sidestories or non canon fluff but i think you can play most of the enemy simulacrum too

I've got all that stuff (Sands of Destruction game is cart only). I've only checked out the SoD anime, but I really liked it. Not even sure I want to know what sort of reputation it has...

Congrats on having the game. Not easy to find, these days.

As for the anime, I double-checked myself, and I was thinking of Mars of Destruction, which appears on a number of 'worst anime of all time' lists. So, if Sands of Destruction (which arrived today) is not all that bad, so much the better. Fun fact: Mars of Destruction is streaming exactly nowhere (except the high seas, of course), and the DVD is listed as unavailable.

I should look into the value of my games. I have around 70 DS games, half of which I never played. Wish I had kept several of them sealed since I never got around to them. I do have Dragon Quest V-VI, IX, and Monsters Joker 2 all complete, which are apparently worth a decent amount now.

Man, Bisco is a weird ass show. Main character fights with a bow that causes giant mushrooms (I'm talkin like 500 feet tall) to sprout wherever he shoots with it. I'll keep watching for now. Perhaps it'll be the surprise hit of the season. Or not.

Additionally I watched the cosplay girl show. The main guy is kind of lame and his obsession with dolls is really weird. Like, not that he is obsessed with them, but how he talks to and ogles them is just, bizarre. Everything else about the show is pretty good though. Main girl is fun to watch and she has good chemistry with the main guy so far. Assuming the show going forward will be more about cosplay and comedy and less about doll making, I think I'll enjoy it.

Debating whether I want to watch attack on titan as it airs or wait for it to finish or maybe watch a chunk of episodes every few weeks.

Been patiently waiting for AoT so long. Not sure if this is going to be the end, or if there's going to be more. Finished up Saihate no Paladin. I'm not really sure why this is rated as low as it is. It wasn't amazing, but I did find it enjoyable and wouldn't mind more. Guessing some people are sick of isekai at this point.

Faraway paladin started with a pretty solid rating for episode one but once fight animation was shown it went down a fair bit. The fighting was indeed pretty mediocre animation. I thought it was a pretty solid show though.

I did end up watching the episode of AoT. It is supposed to be the last season and should end conclusively. While I don't know what the ending is, I know a lot of manga readers were unhappy about it and wondering if it'll be changed for the anime.

Watched two more shows and was somewhat pleasantly surprised.

Genius prince is simple but fairly enjoyable. It's like a less serious take on realist hero. I still prefer realist hero but this one was fun as well.

I don't know how I should shorten the other one but it's the one where the guy gets reincarnated with his handsome friend but as a girl. This one was pretty funny although the plot synopsis feels like it's attacking me by calling the main characters old men. Bruh, they are 32 years old, thats not an old man. That's like barely middle aged.

Anyway, really average dude has a handsome guy as his best friend and he is jealous. He gets drunk with said best friend and while nearly passed out on the ground says he wishes he were a hot woman cause then he might actually get attention cause theres no way he can compete with his best friend around. Fantasy goddess pops up and monkey paw's the poor guy's wish by taking him and the best friend to a fantasy world and making him a hot girl (and of course tasking them to defeat the demon lord). When they complain at the goddess and say they don't wanna she curses them to be attracted to each other. So now they have to defeat the demon lord before the attraction becomes too much and they ruin their friendship by getting romantically involved. First episode was pretty funny.

i havent started the reincarnated as a girl one but I remember liking the manga because it got pretty wholesome

I've been reading Asper Kanojo, about an unpopular doujin manga artist who suddenly has a girl show up at his apartment and say she's staying there. He quickly notices she has Asperger's and occasionally struggles with self harm, and she came to see him because his works about people dealing with trauma, loneliness and being different resonated with her. What was originally supposed to be a few days turns to longer as they connect, and he learns how to better understand and deal with the many daily struggles associated with her condition.

@Zeus I think you'd like Police Pod / Hakozume - Kouban Joshi no Gyakushuu. Good level of humor to it. About two female police officers, one of them new and the other one is incredibly jaded. Also there are dramatic changes from "comedy" to "totally not funny at all".

Got myself Pokemon Origins for NZ$2. Yay, more anime I won't actually watch.

Leadale episode 2 was a bit more interesting. Feels like it'll be a nice chill isekai sorta like max level witch or bofuri but not as yuri as the first or as good as the second.

ended up reading all of the light novels for leadale a few days ago

was really good stuff, fun protagonist and supporting characters

Got Melty Blood Actress Again Current Code on Steam. Added the current version to my wishlist though, now that I know about it.

new version is following the reboot of Tsukihime so it has a much more limited cast cuz it's rebooted melty too

Even so, it is the version getting updates and characters right now.

ya, the current two dlc characters are free, and i imagine they're going to give out some more free stuff (probably 1 returning character like aoko and 1 new character like noel at a time) occasionally until there's a second version of the game ready in time for tsukihime part 2 in a couple years

Welp, ran out of stuff to watch. Finished up Witcher s2 and watched a couple of movies, but not really sure what to watch now. There's always Conan, or Black Clover, but not in the mood for either of those right now. Guess I'll watch random stuff on youtube for now.

edit: Huh, just remembered I never watched the last season of Lucifer. Guess I'll watch that next.

After finishing Mushoku Tensei, I havent known what to watch but I have been playing the heck out of INSCRYPTION and it was and still is amazing.

Just been re-listening to The Dresden Files audiobooks (currently on the 8th book).

Interesting spoiler for those who dont care about the book but could use something to persuade them to read/listen to it: In the 7th Book, Harry resurrects Sue the T-Rex through necromancy and rides it through the streets of Chicago while it gulps down zombies, its pretty badass.

I want to read Bisque Doll and it's "only" 69 chapters.
I'm also reading Shimeji Simulation right now.
I was never this into manga when I was younger.

after bingeing through all of Leadale, 80k Gold, and Potions light novel i've been struggling to find more great light novels without extensive manga adaptations... maybe i'll just read all of arifureta or catch up on black summoner

Maaaaan. Another delayed episode for me. Tsunami warning took the tv timeslot for world trigger S3 final episode. They haven't said when it will air. Stupid japan still using cable tv instead of just netflix and the like.

Picked up the El Hazard OAVs on Blu-Ray, thanks to a recent Right Stuf release. Feels bizarre to pay so little for something that used to be so ridiculously expensive on DVD, right up there with getting the Lodoss War OAVs on Blu-Ray around this time last year.

Started reading Bisque Doll. I am becoming too invested into this stuff these days.

Been playing Metroid Dread. Got stuck hard enough once that I looked up where to go. The emmis are kind of terrifying and the bosses have been pretty hard, but I've been enjoying the game so far. Also, since I didn't have any idea of what to watch, I picked Bones back up. Not a good show to watch while eating.
