Blue Exorcist Box Set (Complete)

Season 1 was kinda okay, but season 2 was a jumbled mess. Wondering if they did more than that.

I loved the show's theming with the demonic table of elements and the effectiveness chart.

Whatever was on NF. The first series that had them fighting Satan, and then iirc I *think* the second was the King of Rot or whatever when visiting that monk's home. idk, they blur together a bit.

There's really only 1 season 1 for blue exorcist. The anime original ending and movie was ignored when making season 2 six years later.

Unrelated to that but AMAIM and evo fruit this week were fine I guess. I'm kinda surprised I'm still sticking with both of them. Each is just one bad episode away from being dropped. Evo fruit is some abysmal fanfiction tier of writing but it's light hearted enough that it's ok I guess. Pure isekai junk food with no merit. AMAIM is so slow paced but so far it's wasted because the characters are boring and the fight scenes have moments of greatness and moments of terribleness (mostly in choreography and logic, the technical quality is fine throughout). The story doesn't feel like it has a point and the resistance doesn't seem like they have a plausible end goal.

Still playing odyssey too. Have most of the cultists killed, but I think I have to advance the story more for the rest. Also, not sure if I hit top tier as a merc again, but it's not showing anymore currently, but I'm at the bottom of the current tier, so maybe getting to the top of it will unlock more.

I definitely agree the weakest part of it is the human side.

Kinda funny when you think about how EN Council got like a a few months of preamble and 3 different preview videos and the new JP gen is like *snap* We're here!

People tend to forget that gen 5 debuted literally a month before the first EN.

So yeah, it's been a long time coming.

Which makes the sudden reveal and drop even more surprising. You'd think they'd hype it up a bit considering the long gap.

Granted darkness had over 150k (edit: now over 255k) subs before the debut stream started so I guess they don't really need to advertise. Theres also a ton of clips of existing hololive girls surprised reactions to the sudden announcement. Honestly might be big brain marketing decision.

Ranking of kings still good on the anime front. Wonder if blue period is gonna come out tomorrow instead of today like last week.

Started back on watching Black Clover. Think I'm on ep22. It's not amazing, but it'll do.

Finished up the main story in Assassin's Creed Odyssey, so I'm not sure what to play next. I never finished Persona 5, Nier Automata, Outer Worlds, or Bloodborne and I've also got God of War (ps4) which I've never played, as well as a sealed copy of Ghost of Tsushima. Persona 5 is at the top of my list for games to finish and I'm interested in Ghost of Tsushima, so I'll probably go with one of those two.

venusblood hollow (aka hypnos) came out yesterday. if you're a fan of strategy eroge like sengoku rance, venusblood frontier, or kamidori, it's absolutely worth checking out

though there is a lot of tentacles. and i mean a LOT. this game probably has the least number of tentacles of any venusblood game but it's... still.... like everywhere

even if you do the sfw version of the game it's still very much worth checking out but i mean cmon if you're in the srpg/slg eroge genre i think we all know which you're gonna pick

Picked Persona 5 back up. Still hate the limited amount of time though. Seems like every time I want to do something it's forcing me through the story and I miss doing what I want. Still liking the game though. Don't remember why I stopped playing it in the first place. I think I'm working on the third villain right now.

Same. Even if I manage to get everything in one playthrough, the time limit would have been in the back of my mind the whole time making it all subtly worse.

Kinda helps me realize that part of what I like about rpgs is that only you actually level up. Everything else in the world is static. Would be nice if real life's challenges would hold still while I improve until I can handle them with ease.

i followed a guide to get the platinum trophy in one run, and at the end i had like two months of just wasted free time because i had nothing left to do

iirc in regular p5, there's no super time restricted missables. aside from just not having enough time to actual do social links ig

Anyone watch TSUKIMICHI -Moonlit Fantasy-
last season?

Its kind of another run of the mill Isekai with strong similarities to both Overlord and Slime-Time but I fell in love with it.

I love the main character despite being kinda op, he has some character flaws and some depth of character.

Love the samurai dragon girl.

Not afraid to show death.

Its not breaking the ceiling when it comes to new things but it take what it has and ends up very well rounded.

Wow, looking at next season there is an isekai isekai. Sage dude reincarnates thousands of years into the future in the same fantasy world he is already from. How long until someone in a fantasy world reincarnates into their own life. Actually I guess rezero sort of counts as that, but I meant from the beginning. And then not fantasy but erased is basically that. Now that I think more about it, having basically a full life re:zero situation could be pretty interesting. I guess theres still more isekai gimmicks to explore. Definitely appears that next anime season won't be seeing a decrease in isekai.

that's just reincarnation and it happened a few seasons ago with demon king academy; it's actually a really really popular genre. i dunno if the one you're talking about was inferior eyes or inferior crest but it was one of those right and both are time-lapse reincarnations with basically the same concept

one i'm reading right now is about a woman who has been reincarnating constantly for over a thousand years and is on her 52nd reincarnation and is just kind of dead inside

Beat the 4th palace in p5. Think I've got like 14 days until the deadline, hits currently waiting for Futaba to wake up, so I'm just trying to level up confidants as much as possible. Though I'd like to take at least one trip in to mementos before the deadline. Probably use like 9-10 days more on confidants before going to mementos though, so I can get some more boosts hopefully, plus better stats when fusing.

I remember liking Tsukimichi, but I can't remember it at all. I gave it a 8 on mal, might just have to rewatch it. Think my opinion after watching it was similar to you guys. Nothing groundbreaking, but solid and enjoyable.
