Ended up dropping SRW 30. It's too easy. Like, I know I say a lot of things are too easy, but it practically plays itself. Actually you can turn on auto and it does. Feels more visual novel than game and any one of my 40 or so units could solo every map without taking damage and oneshot all the bosses. Pitiful really.

So I felt healthy enough lately to try something faster paced and played hades finally. It's pretty good. For some reason I was under the impression it's one of the harder roguelikes but I'm not sure where I got that idea from since most people seem to say it's challenging but on the easier side compared to something like gungeon or binding of isaac. Think it took me about 10 tries to clear it once (with shield and doom build). I've cleared once since then (with sword) and have lost with hades final phase having like 20% left a few times with other weapons. No surprise but it's a good game. Athena dash OP.

Anime wise, I haven't watched much because elden ring news and footage finally hit and hard and I can't wait to play it in like 105 days or so. I did watch arcane though. Doesn't quite count as anime but it's riot games (league of legends and valorant devs) anime thing. There's only 3 episodes out but it's actually surprisingly really good.

Yeah I've come to that after basically not using it for a long time. Trying to win with every weapon before I up the heat. I need to get better at fighting the bosses in the 3rd and 4th areas. I managed to lose with a solid spear build, 3 defiances, 1 extra from the item, and 220 health. Getting better though.

It's not quite anime but leagues "arcane" animates series is pretty damn good. I was surprised, I figured it'd just be ok but it's quite solid. Can't wait for the next and final 3 episodes to drop.

Finished the weekend gauntlet of good anime.

Mushoku tensei remains amazing. It was nearly all backstory this episode but it was very good.

World trigger is still solid. Nothing too great has happened in it this season but it's the kind of show that is consistently good rather than a show that hits high peaks (although main girl's meteor was quite the spectacle). I think world trigger does a better job than any anime I've seen of making all the people competent and relevant. We don't have god tier main characters pulling away from the pack and strategy can overcome nearly any disadvantage, and yet within this, theres still room for one person to be powerful. Probably the best managed power system out there.

86 apparently ran into production issues and so we only get a recap episode this week. At least it doesn't count towards the episode total but I hope this doesn't spell disaster for the animation since it was so great earlier on. Would definitely rather wait a week here and there and maintain that high quality.

Ranking of Kings is still great. This episode didn't surpass the masterpiece that was the previous one but it was still good. If anything stands out, it's that all the characters really have a lot of depth to them. It's very impressively done.

Faraway paladin had a pretty good episode. We are finally out of the prologue and stuff happens right away. Maybe the most enjoyable episode after the first one.

Blue period just gets better as time goes on for me. I think this last episode may have been it's strongest, or at the very least it's a good one. The main character is so likeable and earnest yet fragile. He's just on a constant roller coaster of emotions but it's fun to watch. I also feel like this was the first time they really kept me along for the fine art portion. We can see the technical skills mix with the psycological skills he's developed and the process for deciding what to draw and how to draw it actually made sense to me. Also the OP is a banger. I listen to it every time.

I'm not sure how I feel about all the good anime being concentrated on just half the week but at least we did end up gettin some pretty solid shows after all.

Recently been watching some Demon School Iruma-kun and Resturant to another World S2.
Iruma evil cycle was really great to see, I hope we see it again. Resturant to another world is such a cozy isekai and I love it.

I also was watching Dragon Ball Super dub with Beerus' introduction. I think Beerus is just more interesting then anything in the series.

Haven't started the second season yet, will wait until it's over. The chef is always great and I find beef stew dragon enjoyable. Honestly can't think of any characters I dislike though.

My friend thinks Beef Stew girl is best girl.

Bad characters? Nah yeah most of them are great. Interesting origin stories too, not like world shattering but theyre short. I just wish the prince from the desert would stop being so nervous around miss parafait princess.

It's just a really comfy show and I'm glad it exists. I have been watching Yuukoku no Moriarty. FInished rewatching s1 and onto s2. It's nothing amazing as far as Sherlock stuff goes, but I don't find it bad. It was more interesting in the beginning, when it was more Moriarty stuff. A bit too much Sherlock since he was introduced, though there's been somewhat less where I'm at.

Omg in DSIK-S2 they just sung the OP from the first season at the karaoke room XD
Then the girls solo time was cute and it was too adorable seeing them gush over Iruma.

I thought Yuukoku no Moriarty was kinda bad eventually. The first few episodes are solid but it's all build up and then theres just no payoff IMO. In S2 it spends too long on frankly nonsensical things and I dropped it like halfway through S2 around the time someone kicked something like 100 feet into a gun barrel.

She's just using the VR model she got for their Halloween collab.

Also, she's doing VR a lot to get used to it since she gets motion sick easily.

your first and second sentences seem very at odds with each other

the primary audience of vtubers has always been in the 15-28~ range (some going higher or lower, like marine going quite a bit higher because they know shes a boomer too, the one who fuckin eat fortnite up obviously go lower) but you ultimately can't choose who consumes ur content if you make it available on the internet

i don't think any of the gen 1 eng vtubers had a super clear goal for their audience because it wasn't guaranteed they were gonna hit it as big as they did

It's weird because I got into vtubers through ASMR (channels like Himekura Ribon, not specifically the degenerate content, that came later), which is definitely not targeting children (think: Helpful Fox Senko San), but I'd imagine that it targets the Office Worker crowd, especially when most off those streams start around 23:00 JST. I think it's predominently HoloEN which targets the younger crowd actually. I know that smaller groups aren't trying to target kids. You don't have them going on karaoke singing children's songs like it's Sesame Street or something.

This is also probably why I fell out of interest with Hololive. I just do not like the content that they produce. The only Hololive content I will watch is from Korone, Watame, Okayu or Luna, and I don't think I've seen many streams from the latter two recently. I don't watch Clips, and I've actually listned to Okayu's ASMR /softly song Japanese/stream a few times recently (it's from 2 months ago) because of her renditions of Itte and Hitchcock.

Then again, I watch like 12 hours of asmr content a day so I skew in weird directions. I'm not looking to watch someone play a game that I've seen another vtuber play, or crap like Minecraft/Apex. That just doesn't interest me.

I am also deeply into Utaite and Anisong/Vocaloid/Jpop as a whole which I assume skew to older audiences (especially anything that's Vocaloid covers).

Yeah I was really confused by that. I'm guessing by the later posts that she sang a kids song during karoke but its a big leap to consider that targeting children especially when gura says quite a lot of non child friendly stuff all the time.

Yeah it's been decent. Just watched today's episode (or I guess yesterday at this point). I still feel like they really need to show us the hero so we can contextualize the main guys power.

Anyhoo, found a release that met my criteria. Literally just wanted a better release of spider isekai that had chapters.

Still playing Odyssey. Up to level 65 so far. Mercenaries used to be scary, now I hunt down any that dare cross my path. Still looking for a better hat, torso, and leg armor. Trying to get my crit chance higher, but I'm up to 53.4% chance at full health so far, so that's not too bad. Hoping to get some better lines for the affore mentioned pieces to raise that chance.

You can change it, but it's annoying to do it every episode. I tried remuxing a series once, but I dunno what dumb shit I was doing, but I was not doing it right.

its prob consistent thru one sub group's season? maybe? (edit: i think i set defaults in MPC? if a sub track name is exactly whats listed itll default)

but yeah, in general, i feel you, cuz:

i have at least 3-5 defaults set in.... whatever i watch anime in (is it mpc? wmv? the world will never know.) but a lot of the time they go weirdly specific and its not caught in there anymore

I'm so sad every time mushoku tensei ED starts. I want MORE. Another beautiful and well realized location and more good writing. This show is top notch. I want a montage of all the OPs that show off a new location.

86 is still good but we have to wait another 2 weeks for another episode. Really hoping the final product is good despite the delays.

World trigger continues to be good except the main character is just boring. i think I've figured out my problem with him. The show frames him as being smart and a good leader to make up for him being basically the worst combatant. The problem is, he isn't actually smart or a good leader, the show just keeps saying he is. This coupled with how competent every side character is makes it seem like his strong points are actually weak points and his weak points are super weak points and he basically just keeps getting lucky to compensate. He doesn't even really have potential either. He also isn't central to any of the plot. Like, Yuma easily could have been the main character instead and osamu just deleted from the show and it'd probably be a better show. It's kind of similar to how I feel about roc from black lagoon where they talk about how dangerous he'd be if he finally blah blah blah but he just isn't. He's not that smart and he's not a fighter and he's not exceptionally brave or crafty. He's just there. That's how I feel about osamu in world trigger. Show is still great regardless (as is black lagoon).

Also I finished arcane and it was really good even though it's not technically anime.

I'm really glad that I'm holding off watching it until it's finished. For now I'll have to hold myself off with world's finest assassin which is similar.
