Ill sometimes hear music or someone singing quietly where I cant make out the words when a fan or some kind of white noise is on.

I kind of get something like that when I'm trying to sleep with my fan on, but I have to kind of try and listen for it.

Yeah I didn't know there was a term for it, I assumed I was just a mad lad I didnt know either until I tried to look it up and read it was legit. Its not a mental health issue either since its just something thats triggered when there is a fan or some white noise playing. Its an interesting read. I'm a musician if that helps Sometimes I do have to focus on the sound for it to continue. When I stop focusing itll go away or if I move from my position too. Its a really quiet sound or singing and when I focus it amplifies the sound, but still cant make out words. Helps me write in words though for a song back in my band days. --- SIGNATURE ... Not exactly, but sometimes my brain fills in the missing parts of a chord. That is, missing because the composer didnt write it that way, but my brain makes a harmony.

Yes. Most of my life. I never looked it up, talked about it or felt concerned about it and always kinda assumed it was my fillings like the old joke/wives tale; radio waves and fillings.

I don't think it's only related to music. When there's some form of white noise (fan/AC/some motor) I think I very faintly hear someone talking. I often wonder if it was someone walking down the sidewalk, or if it was just my brain interpreting the noise that way.

I have a fish tank in my family room and late at night if I'm sitting in my chair it sounds like voices, but I cant make out what they're saying.
