i dont see why that wasnt either Dallas scores or Philly scores since the ball was knocked loose. And if its after he crossed the plain then Dallas TD, and if not, fumble recovery for 99 yards Philly TD

The play was whistled dead. It was going to be either a TD or forward progress stopped.

You haven't seen the refs whistle spam when stuff like that happens before? It happens all the time lol.

Like maybe it's not super legit with the rules, but forward progress especially seems to operate on a "the refs judge it happened and the whistle is an afterthought." The whistles always come late on that when it happens. It's the same principle as when they're all looking at each other trying to figure out whether to call something incomplete or a catch and in the meantime a defender picks up the ball and starts running the other way because technically no whistle has been blown while they're trying to figure out the initial call and they all start whistling like "Dude, come on, really. You know that isn't a live ball." (Or more generously to keep them from wasting their energy running it back/prevent unnecessary tackles or injury if the other team figures they better stop it just in case.)

Clock management ever being subpar, and I mean literally ever, is kinda infuriating as a spectator.

It's such a solvable problem. Not that I've done it myself, but if I was getting paid to do it...like...print a flowchart or some crap. It's not complicated.

I actually kind of agree with Peyton and Eli that you take the FG in that situation considering how poorly those last few plays went, but it worked out in the end either way.

I've actually been kind of impressed with Dallas's defense in this game, which is a sentence I didn't expect to utter this season.

Hes not a terrible person because he signed with them.

BECAUSE he is a terrible person, thats the team he signed with. Up and down their roster this story has been told. They are clearly recruiting the worst humans in the league.
