Seems like every time a Direct is early in the day, Im scheduled for first shift, and every time its in the evening, Im scheduled for second shift

Ugh, right in the middle of my shift.

My ideal afternoon Direct time would be about 4:30, since my lunch is scheduled at 4:15 and I sometimes have to delay it when on a call. But things are slower in the evening so this should be okay.

Mainly on Switch games coming out this year huh. Means we will probably see more of Metroid Dread, DP Pokmon ports, SMT V, Mario Party and uhh cant really think of anything else coming before 2022.

Bayonetta 3 is actually finished and will release this year

That last part would be nice. Zeldas anniversary has been a big wet fart so far. I never bought a Wii U so Id LOVE to see WW ported to Switch since Ive never played the game. Wouldnt mind TP being ported either since its my favorite and 2 different Wii discs of it quit reading :(

Obviously theyve gotta announce Game Boy games tomorrow, probably releasing same day or close to it

maybe the final Smash character

i really dont know what they could announce as far as new games releasing before the end of the year goes. Feels like theyve got a decent amount of first party stuff coming and theyre mostly out of Wii U games to port

I feel like announcing that final Smash character now would be a bit crap. They said it wouldn't be ready until the end of the year so just reveal it on a final Smash direct closer to the time.

Apparently the confidentiality of a hardware patent Nintendo filed a while back is expiring Friday, so we might see some piece of hardware tomorrow. People think it might be a controller to coincide with a new Nintendo Switch Online console. Or it could be nothing!

If it's the villain, I think this is one of the few not crazy hyped third party characters I would be okay with. Metroid needs more reps.

But also Smash needs to go out with a bang.

The last Smash 4 reveal was Duck Hunt. The last Smash 4 DLC reveal was Corrin. The last Smash Ultimate reveal was Incineroar. The last Smash Ultimate DLC Pack 1 reveal was Byleth.

Smash doesn't exactly have a great track record of going out with a bang.

Prediction which is also wishful thinking -
Waluigi will be in Smash. He will be in the new fighter video, but then it turns out he is actually a bonus character, available for all for free, to celebrate the final new character for Smash, and then the video will show the last fighter pass character

I don't care for Waluigi for at this point is so heavily requested that might as well show for the fans that "we are listening" but also provide a unique 3rd party character
