I love Marvel but they have done absolutely nothing to sell me on this movie. I don't know the Eternals and after three(?) trailers I don't know why I should care. They absolutely made me want to care about the Guardians (a team I knew only slightly more about) by the time the movie released, but not these guys. Every one of them comes off as two dimensional at best, the foes don't seem all that threatening (especially with how powerful these characters are supposed to be), and what jokes they have put out there are flatter than the characters trying to make them.

The Ensemble Cast actually has some of my favorites in it so thats a selling point for me

The idea of a group of badasses who have been living amongst humans through all civilization to protect them from some shit but not stepping in at all for all the other crazy shit that might happen has a lot of potential to be compelling.

that show was such a disaster, and Agents of Shield probably isnt ever getting addressed again. The difference is BW is a prequel movie about a dead character and these next two movies are for new characters likely to become established mainstays in the MCU. I think there were just naturally lower expectations for BW than there are for Shang Chi or Eternals. Though in general I have seen a lot of apathy for them too.

Shang Chi and Eternals are both about characters that are relatively unknown to the general public and also haven't been widely marketed (although Shang Chi is starting to ramp up in that regard at least). I think Marvel is just banking on the fact that it's an MCU movie to get people in the door.

I think Shang-Chi's pretty hype, at least since the 2nd trailer hit. Eternals yeah I get that being low on the radars but hey maybe Angelina Jolie is all the selling it needs.

Gotta say I don't love the Deviants name. I know it's from the comics but I wouldn't have complained if they changed it. I feel like it's most commonly used in the "sexual deviant" context which makes it seem, at best, puritanical.
