Yea I read into that when I saw it, and I'm pretty convinced it is nothing. His statements about women being bad at sports felt a lot more joking than malicious and the pedo stuff was just poorly worded.

I think Disney's learned from the James Gunn incident not to overreact from old cherry-picked online comments. As long they aren't an active problem to Disney I don't expect anything to come of it, at most theyll make them apologize, like Ruffalo over Israel.

Carano was an active problem for Disney, a repeat after repeat offender until they had enough (by Carano's own admission they even wrote up an official apology she declined to use and was punished for - even before the eventual stuff that led to her ultimate canning). And yeah Simu Liu's obviously gonna be a bigger deal than her.

I personally think that should be their approach. Introduce a mutant here and there in other movies and then have a mutant movie as opposed to introducing them all at once

God I feel like such a dork for what I said about Hayley Atwell earlier. I agree fully on her being amazing as Peggy (having only seen Captain America 1 for the first time in early 2020), I just wanted to add a little something and clearly it was, I dunno, too much?

Thing is, part of the reason I find Atwell so, uh, you know, is precisely because I like her so much as Peggy. Same with Karen Gillan as Nebula.

The poster shows Vision/Ultron with all 6 stones so most likely the next episode introduces Gamora with the Thanos armor/sword and the finale brings back Peggy to fight with Gamora and the new Avengers against Vision/Ultron

yeah a definite change of pace from really most episodes this series that have been rather grim (especially if you're a man named Tony Stark)

That episode was so much fun.

I think it really helped that Chris Hemsworth nailed the VO performance. Definitely stood out as being much better than the other returning actors in this series. I especially liked how he did those little whiny whelps as he was getting tossed around and punched. Very funny.

They must've made the conscious decision to leave him out of this episode so they wouldn't have to deal with him accidentally being killed by a drunk alien.

It's from the plot of Avengers 2 and Vision's MCU origins. Vision was originally being created by Ultron to create a perfect body for himself (through the combination of vibranium with organic tissue). So this What If scenario would just be that the Avengers failed to stop his body transfer as they did in the movie.

A popular theory I'm seeing is that this particular Ultron is also a multiversal traveler, which is why his sudden appearance seemed to surprise the Watcher. Could be setting up an overarching plotline.

I guess I'm failing to see why Ultron would have even happened if there was no Loki trying to take over Earth in Avengers 1? Wasn't that Tony's response to what happened?

mnk posted the theory that answers that! Ultron appears to be appearing through a multiversal portal, he's likely not from this Frost Giant Loki universe.

2 eps left so we're certainly approaching the part in the trailers where these multiversal characters will be joining together
