It feels like people loved the MCU when it was "straight white hero main character" (up to about Infinity War) and now that it's branching into different stuff people are all "yeah I got everything I need from the MCU"

While I wouldn't be surpised if that had something to do with some people's shift, there is also the fact that this has been ongoing for over a decade now, Endgame was very much intentionally an end point of the current itteration of most of the heroes, and I know in my case I've been kinda burnt out on hero movies in general since like, Age Of Ultron. Superhero movie fatigue is nothing new.

People are still invested but it's not mid to late 10s MCU where Marvel could almost, almost do no wrong... like I just notice people being more critical.
