Unless it's very significantly cheaper, I'd still be inclined to wash them so as to not be wasteful. I struggle to imagine such a scenario, though. Given that more electricity and water goes into producing a given article of clothing in the first place than is needed to wash it (especially considering that you can fit significantly more than one piece of clothing in a load), the idea of it costing more to wash it than buy a new one isn't very plausible.

It's a hypothetical - I suppose I could make up a scenario like you have to pay $20 for 2-way travel via taxi to/from the laundromat which itself would cost $5 ($25 total) but you got your entire load of clothes on Amazon for like $24 or whatever
