I use Mullvad, seems to be the best privacy wise from what I researched.

I use ProtonVPN, but generally only when traveling because public wi-fi lol.

Application of Open Source technologies and independent auditing and publication of reports about compliance with LE requests that show exactly what is being retained and provided to law enforcement (hint: if it's a legitimate VPN, that will amount to like... a username).

Doesn't it depend on how you pay? Like if you use a card or paypal then sure, the companies will hold a record. But if you say mail an envelope with cash and your account # then you should be fine.

Yeah but the fact you paid for something doesn't prove... anything. The point isn't to obscure the fact that you use a VPN, it's to protect your internet activity from outside observation.

same. been using them a few years. wish it had more support on other devices. a lot of the common VPN that sponsor vids all have apps. but don't really trust some paid one that lets you use a code for like 80% off

It makes it so your ISP can't see your traffic, but now whatever server you connect to can. That's why you get one that is proven not to keep logs like PIA.

I think they got their data hacked to include user information and didnt say anything for months until exposed. Also I think they said they didnt keep logs when they do. This is based off my memory so it could be wrong. I still have a subscription to them because I had the 3 year plan before all this.

Depends on the reason you use a VPN really, but nord is probably the best one of the three tc listed. I wouldnt really talk shit on nord like i would express. I dont think they have a strict no log policy, but unless you are into things like trafficking child pornography or cracking and pirating the newest games on a constant basis, then logs really aren't that big of an issue.

FBI has bigger fish to try than the chumps who resort to pirating those offline single player games.

(edit: I should add, as long as you have any amount of diligence in using the VPN. Diverting any amount of resources to invade privacy and issue court orders and subpoenas to bypass that VPN for that one couch potato over probably less than $1k in games pirated just isnt practical. But openly airing it out is different.)

But other VPNs have way more features and a much better UI with more servers across more countries with faster pings for the same price, theres just really nothing that stands out about the mainstream ones.

There are probably plenty more examples from other companies, but its hard to beat the security and overall features of PIA. Its just not the cheapest.

What were they searching for? Its hard to believe the courts would go this far to see who is downloading old Nintendo games that they refuse to put on a modern system.

Thats what I was saying in my other post. The express raid was during a murder case or something. PIA had a user make a bomb threat and one case about a hacker. And these were a while back, I'm sure there are more recent examples too.
