Why do you support the Republican party. This isn't an attack, I just honestly want to know why. I don't understand it AT ALL.

I am an economy first voter and like their economic policies. I don't care about anything else.

I am not a Republican (or a Democrat for that matter) but to my understanding, they present themselves as being pro-life, traditional Christian politicals whose want is to keep economic business in Americas avenue.

They are less for listening to the voice of the people & more for doing what works in the USAs interest in the way of mediating between big businesses & making more of a guiding approach rather than simply being a servant of the public. Republicans seem to be on the side of You might not need government assistance. Get a job. ~ and The individual can be dangerous when they step out of line.

Theres less sliding scales & more Just do what works & seek guidance from the government or make your own way if we cant help you instead of barking up some millionaires tree asking them to foot your bills for you. ~ So, sink or swim basically. Theyre the less nice, more firm element. Thats the message they send and thats the message I receive.

but

We dont live in a black & white world & I dont believe in black & white politics. Binary is for the birds. Neither party is particularly doing anything I particularly approve of in a sweeping way. Well... besides getting Donald Trump out of office. That was a good thing. But yea. Theyre not as supportive of immigration. Etc etc.

The entire Trump administration really shook the nation though, and polarized things, so naturally with there being in all actuality.... some serious overlap & exchange between the varying ideals
of different branches or cliques & philosophies of each party... I think were actually starting to see Republicans behave more like Democrats at times & vice versa ~ which is really interesting to think where that might go, maybe a bit concerning, or perhaps ironic or even natural. It wouldnt be the first time these two parties have effectively swapped platforms if you understand their history.

Hope this helped open some doors for you.

Cheers
