Genesis is another good "comfort song" that I can finally vote for now! (rip Final Voyage and Legacy) It's got a hell of an intro and I love that almost-real sounding violin throughout the song, weirdly enough the choir doesn't do much to enhance the song as it normally would for me (it doesn't help when it's used in a way that makes me feel out of breath just listening to it)

More good music today! 17th, 2nd, 45th, 54th, and 26th place are all in today's matches! Except, um, my liking of Fairfrozen has waned. And Class:CNP has waxed a little bit, too. (I suppose I'll listen to match 3 again tomorrow just to be sure)

I've finally been working on my "all-time favorite vgm rankings" for my first time. I finished phase 1 (everything has been rated one time, but I will rate everything a second time and weigh the scores). I refuse to show the complete rankings, but whenever somoeone mentions vgm in my top 50, I'll say what it's ranked, hehe. Axis Pillar is ranked 21st! And, this might surprise you, but... Natural Life A is ranked 3rd! As I've stated before, I love the sounds of nature...

Oh, yeah, and since linkage alter is in a match today, linkage-alter is ranked #5!

It sounds real because it is real... Violin is performed by Akiko Nagano and Yoko Kumazawa.

23. Ys Origin - Genesis Beyond the Beginning
This is the kind of modern Ys song I can get behind. I really like this one its got the right amount of violin and guitar and everything else, at least for my sensitive ear nozzles. Not much to really say its just a solid song, great at getting me pumped up.

49. Taiko no Tatsujin: Murasaki Ver. - Mahoujin -Summon Delta-
I really like the beginning of this song, those very distinct eight notes that play throughout the opening seconds and pop up again during the songs run. They've found their way into my head a few times throughout the contest. Im not as into the rest of the song though. It reminds me of last years Burning Force Medley in that sense, where I really liked the first part (which corresponded with the first level of the original Burning Force) but struggled with the rest. Those eight notes are pretty great though!

And hey, I did it! 64 writeups of varying lengths and qualities. I hope they spiced up round 3 a little. I might do a rerank for round 5 and onward.
