The more realistic scenario is that they deny everything, try to ride it out, plea bargain if it looks like they can't win, fire a bunch of scapegoats, then Kotick gets a raise. Then everyone forgets about it and buys the next Blizzard game because that's what gamers always do. A lot of the silence/lack of official statement now is because they're gambling that the story stays niche and most of their customers neither know/care about it. They don't want their own denial to spread the story farther than it already has (because it absolutely would). That had already prompted me to boycott Actiblizz even before this news broke, since if I can't trust them not to destroy a game I've owned for 15 years, I don't see much point in spending any more money on any further products they put out (not that I was exactly buying lots of their stuff in the first place, given that Diablo 3 Switch is the first one I've bought since SC2:WoL).
