I want to be hyped, but I'm taking a wait and see approach. The first game was an incredible little gem with a unique battle system and an interesting story in an unusual jrpg setting. The problem is it's also kind of lightning in a bottle and I'm not convinced they can pull off another game without it just being inferior to the first in every way.

The reviews are pretty decent tbh. I'm kind of surprised.
I'm curious if the target for the writing has been "aged up." TWEWY really spoke to me when I was 13 (which I can verify with my archived posts lol). Will the sequel, also centered on teens, speak to me as much? Maybe not but it could still be fun. --- <insert sig here> ... Copied to Clipboard!
