match 2 was one of my theoretical possible matches that were "basically coinflips" when coming up with possible alternate results for my D favorites bracket. I was indecisive about particularly the left side. coming from the right, Axis Pillar was always my winner, obviously; but uhhh...today basically illustrates my entire conundrum lol. Love Liber Ark / Bahram / 444 all too much and around the same amount (and in the doldrums....and colress...and tron's castle...and rival-omega. D is stupidly stacked for me i guess, including the presence of my literal favorite axis pillar, and even legacy HOW). danger's not quite the same level for me i think but still pretty great. given the forced presence of id today; ridiculously to-my-tastes day jeez

anyways my decision here isn't haphazard; but what a match. but i suppose what else should i expect out of two of my supports facing each other

21. Secret of Mana (PS4) - Danger (ARM version)
Hey, I supported this! (And Prophecy.) I said this about Speartip of Judgment before, but Danger is also a song with no shortage of musical ideas, to the point where its all over the place. But I like that! Its always an engaging listen, always full of surprises. My favorite part which seems to be a very divisive part is the brief section of vocals right before the loop. Its dropped a bit since my initial listen, but its still an 8, so its well in I love this territory.

Of everything remaining, this is the song I probably have the least to say about. Its left basically no impression on me whatsoever. Im happy other people are finding joy in it though!

Ah, Nekomata Master. Can you do no wrong? Some voters have Basiscape; some have Unisuga; I have Nekomata Master. Im not sure Ive ever found a song of his I disliked. This is kind of low tier Nekomata for me and its still an 8. Its hard (for me at least) to describe his style but its incredibly self-consistent, which is probably why all of his songs land for me. Bahram Attack in particular has terrific percussion and a very mysterious atmosphere in addition to trademark Nekomata world music production quality. Im not surprised to see this one go far.

Speaking of Unisuga...! (I swear I didnt realize they composed this when I made that comment) Liber Ark has that crystally experience I tend to really like, with piano/keyboard driving the main melody. It feels solemn, like youre exploring some sacred place. I like this one it might go up a bit if I reevaluate the ratings.

For the tiebreaker today, I have chosen to listen to both songs simultaneously and see what mysteries unlock. Its actually not as much of a mess as you might think! In fact, I would go so far as to call it enjoyable, but I tend to like combining songs like this and seeing what emerges. However, my vote still stands. Better luck next tiebreaker to Id Purpose, for which I might devise a different method of testing.

(yes I prefer Unknown Pollution normally, just making that clear)

My opinions on Danger haven't changed. It would take a really awful track for me to vote for it. And after three tiebreakers, I no longer feel as if my opinion is strong enough to warrant the continued pushback on the Unknown Purpose rematch.

Great music today! My 51st, 62nd, 38th, 77th, and 28th favorites are in today's matches. And I like Unknown Pollution quite a bit, too... 141st place is a bit too low. Tough choice on the second match... I thought I liked Bahram more, but it's not making as much of a positive impression on me today. Meaning yet another 0/3 win rate today (because I doubt Liber Ark is going to win), woohoo!!! I like Road to Primeval Forest more than Liber Ark, though.
