"I'm thinking of having the chicken," you say to Raven. "What were you thinking of having?"

"Chicken does sound good right now," Raven says. "And we could save money if we split one of these meals."

"Yes, that's true," you say.

You check page two and see a picture of the chicken. Much like a sports bar, these are smaller wings and legs, so thinking about it, they charge quite a price for these meals.

"An eight piece is $20, so we'd be saving $6 off two separate four piece meals."

"And maybe we split a large fries for the side?" Raven says.

"Yes, that sounds good," you say.

"Hello," a waiter says. "Are you ready to order?"

"Yes," you say. "We'll share an eight piece chicken meal and a large order of fries."

"What pieces would you like?" he asks.

"Half legs, half wings?" you say while looking at Raven.

"Yes, that's fine," Raven says.

"Alright," the waiter says. "And for drinks?"

"Two large colas," you say.

Raven nods and the waiter finishes writing that.

"Any condiments, maybe for dipping?" he asks.

You take a quick check of the menu, and near the bottom are the condiments and dipping sauces.

"Ooh..." you say.

"Let's go with both the Hot Lava and the Barbecue sauce," you say.

"Alright," he says, "I'll be back with your drinks first."

"Thank you," you say before he walks away.

You and Raven look around while waiting. The interior of Frisco Fried is simple, not flashy or high-end. It is like the everyday person's home, and in that way, very welcoming. You'll make sure the Magical Melting Pot feels the same.

Moments later, the waiter returns with the cups of soda and the straws. You thank him again and unwrap your straw from the paper. You and Raven sip and it's Coca Cola. You start to wonder what deal you can get on drinks.

A few minutes after that, the waiter returns with your plate of chicken.

"Thank you," you say again before he leaves to help another table.

You and Raven divide the pieces so you each have a thigh and a leg. The thighs and legs are all of good size, and the breading and frying differ from KFC or other fast food chains.

"So, we saw that there's pizza, Chinese food and fried chicken on this block," Raven says as she picks up a drumstick. "How's your menu going to differ with this?"

"Well, there's plenty of room for food that isn't any of this," you say. "But on another level, I could always try my hand at competing directly with them..."

"Maybe with pizza. There's a lot of ways to be different with pizza, so we can stand out from whatever All-Nite Pizza has on their menu."

"Hmm... Alright," she says. "Are you sure that's not too much, though? That's a lot of dough, sauce, cheese and toppings."

"It'll be fine," you say. "We can change it up based on hours pizza is available. All-Nite opens after 2 PM, yes? So we can make our pizza available with lunch at noon."

"I do like that," Raven says. "But you're not going to keep the restaurant open that late, are you?"

"No, no," you say. "I think we could go from 9 AM to 9 PM. Twelve hours seems good for a conventional restaurant. Breakfast can be 9 AM to noon, lunch can be noon to 5 PM, and then dinner is 5 to 9 PM."

"You sure 9 AM is early enough? I'm sure 8 AM would be good."

"Yes, good point, 8 to noon for breakfast sounds better."

You take a moment from talking the business of your own restaurant to dip chicken in the Hot Lava Sauce. You take a bite and you can definitely feel the heat in the sauce.

"Very good," you say. "Very good."

Raven sticks to the BBQ sauce and seems to like it. You finish off the little wing you have to then dip another in the BBQ sauce. You also like it, it has good zest to it.

You also have the fries. They're rather salty for your liking, but at least not greasy. Fries are themselves a dish that can vary in quality as well as style depending on who is making them. You consider fries and side dishes for your menu.

You're rather partial to potato wedges. They're bigger and you can season them more. You'll go with those on your side dish menu. You wonder what else you should have. Onion rings for more fast food flair? Maybe breadsticks or garlic bread since you'll have pizza, too. Maybe after working on the main courses, you can determine the side dishes.

You and Raven finish up your meal and the waiter brings the bill.

$33.69

You add $6 to that to be the waiter's tip. After that, you and Raven take your leave and get back to Shadowfax.

"So, where're we going?" Raven asks.

"We're just going to drive around," you say. "If this is going to be the neighborhood we'll be spending time in, we need to know what else is here."

"That's true," she says. "Oh, there's a library!"

As you go past 5100 3rd Street, you spot the Bayview Linda Brooks-Burton Branch Library, then a Big Save Market on the corner of 3rd and Quesada. There's a US Bank branch location, the S F Black Fire Fighters station, and Peking Wok, another Chinese food restaurant.

"Oh, see?" you say. "I can compete with neighboring restaurants when there's two Chinese food places on the same street."

As you near Palou Avenue, there is a UPS Access Point, two cellphone stores of competing brands, and a health spa. Then there's Mendell Plaza and a few shopping centers, with a grocery store, a clothing store, a beauty supply store and a money transfer service. There's even another restaurant, Radio Africa Kitchen. African cuisine in the Bay Area, that's rather interesting. But they have a great space, they must be doing great for themselves.

You circle back, notice the hardware store and the funeral home on the same block as 5100, then a laundromat. There's a triangular block between 3rd Street, Lane Street and Underwood Avenue where there are more restaurants and even a bar there. Then there's a Walgreens and a US Postal Service location, as well as a complex way of crisscrossing Lane Street with 3rd Street. Both streets lead to Yosemite Avenue at the intersection.

You get on Lane Street and turn right onto Yosemite Ave, and see for one, curbside parking has the cars be nose to tail, not parallel parking. This makes things rather narrow going down this way as you pass a caf, a community outreach organization, another coffee place, a neon sign shop, a clothing store, a kitchen cabinet store, an art gallery, an upholstery store, a mover company, a laboratory and a building materials store.

West Yosemite Avenue ends as it turns off into Mendell Street, and this is an incredibly short street to bring you to Williams Avenue. This is a more suburban part of town and you turn right to circle back to 3rd Street.

"The upholstery store, movers and neon sign makers will come in handy for the restaurant," you say. "And maybe even that kitchen cabinet store."

"And maybe with the house, if we get it?" Raven asks.

"Yes, that's true," you say. "Certainly the movers and the kitchen cabinets."

You make your way out of Silver Terrace and...

You drive into the garage, park Shadowfax, and the two of you return to the top floor via elevator. From there, you go back to the main room and find the others in here.

"There you are," Beast Boy says.

"What were you two up to?" Cyborg asks.

"Started the house hunting," you say, "as well as the search for a restaurant location. Got one of each so far, but I'll still search a little harder later."

"And we had lunch, too," Raven adds. "Frisco Fried's chicken is pretty good."

"But for now," you say, "I think the two of us will relax."

"That does sound good," Raven says.

"So..." you start. "What's everyone else doing?"

"Just watching a game show," Robin says.

You and Raven walk over and sit at the end of the couch, and you can't be sure what's going on in the game show. A man is wearing a helmet, goggles and a jumpsuit while balancing on a very wobbly platform.

"Alright, next question," the bubbly hostess says as a card is dispensed from her podium. "What MLB baseball team lost the 2010 World Series?"

"Uh..." the contestant says hesitantly. "The... The Texas Rangers!"

*ding ding*

"Correct!" the host says. "Next question. What part of the human body does a Rhinologist specialize in?"

"Uhhh... Uh... The... The...!"

*brrr*

"Oh~, hesitated a little too long, Byron," the hostess says with some sassy attitude. "Ready! Aim! WATER!"

With that cue, little cannons come out and water is indeed blasted at Byron and the wobbly platform! Byron gets drenched from multiple sides and he does his best to stay up from the pressure!

"And stop," the hostess says.

The water cannons stop and Byron is sputtering but he's still standing. Though, he does put his hands on his knees to stay up.

"Nice job, Byron!" she says. "But you still need two more correct questions in order to get down and get the $1,000!"

"All this for only 1000?" you say.

"Well, that's on top of other goofy challenges he made it through," Cyborg says. "There was Spring Time."

"And Pie Hard," Beast Boy says.

"And Tricks of Hats," Starfire says.

"So what's this one called?"

"Ready, Aim, Water," they all say.

"The name of the challenge is also the thing the host shouts at some point," Robin says.

"Oh. And the name of this entire show?"

"Challengers Challenging Challenges," Robin says. "I think it's based on a Japanese game show."

"Then I should get some popcorn because this is great stuff," you say as you get up again.

Raven giggles and you look back.

"What?" you ask. "I'm being genuine."

"I know, and it's funny in like a sweet way," she says.

You go to the kitchen area and find there is one last prepackaged popcorn. You get that going in the microwave, and then decide to spice it up with...

It's a safe choice, a traditional choice, and a great choice. You get a stick of butter, and a small pot, and put the butter in the pot to start heating it on the stove top. You melt the butter down in the same time the popcorn takes to pop, and after putting the popcorn in a big plastic bowl, it's a simple matter of making a funnel thin enough to drizzle the butter all over.

"Here we go," you say. "Popcorn, extra butter, the old fashioned way."

"Ohhh..." the others say as they marvel at the popcorn.

"Are you sure you have to move to your own place?" Beast Boy says as they all look up at you.

"What?" Raven says with a chuckle.

"But he's so good at home cooking and stuff!" Beast Boy says.

"And he's- we've both been traveling for the better part of a month," Raven says. "You've been going without his home cooking the whole time."

"That's why he should stay...!" Beast Boy says in almost a puppy's whimper.

"My moving out doesn't mean I'll stop spending time with everyone," you say. "Though, when we discussed of how often Raven would stay with me, perhaps I should've thought how often I'd visit the Tower..."
