Might be wrong, but I think I read that in the prototype build, its tone was too dark/macabre to be marketable, so they did a bunch of things to make the tone lighter. Basically anime-fy it more. In Western media, heavy tone shifts in a story/setting are a rarity. Which is kind of a lot for me on PC And Im excited for the Collectors Edition coming out December 3rd. Already pre-ordered it.
