I've heard this only for the soft tortilla, but I have never ordered that on the side so I'm not sure. Maybe it's only true for the soft tortilla, or maybe my chipotle just doesn't care and gives hard shells without charging.

Replacement chipotle advice in case it was a LIE on my part

2. Always have tortilla chips at home because they are delicious and then you don't even need to order them at chipotle when bringing it home. If you're out and about just find a gas station or grocery store near your chipotle and get a full bag of chips for the same cost as the little one

Admittedly sad compared to no free hard shells but hey that's the hand I was dealt

What's a good, healthy snack? I really need to start eating better, I have cut out pop/energy drinks, eat less overall and workout 4-5 times a week but I'm not losing weight as fast as I would like and think it's pretty much due to that

Carrots are amazing I go through like 3-5 lbs of them a week

Honestly I think you'd get more bang for your buck implementing strict intermittent fasting, if you haven't already. 14-16 hours of zero calories. If you already have, add fasted / morning steady state cardio. Daily, 40-60 min. If you're still not making progress at this point, then change up what you're eating.

Go nuts!! Literally. Nuts rock. I also get raisins but I don't eat many of them. I am going to add marion berries (blackberries basically) soon. There is a veggy/fruit stand that sells them near here that doesn't have pesticides on em (when I tried buying em at the store they always tasted like chemicles). I tried a friends today that they got from the fruit stand and they tasted like the ones I picked as a kid (so yum).

Carrots as mentioned above, and apple slices are good as well. Celery as well can be good (with just a bit of peanut butter on it or even almond butter). I've been doing pistachios as well, they are expensive but if you buy the bags of pistachoes still in the shell from amazon you can get 3 pounds for 16$, so just about $5 a pound which is a really really low price (it's 9.99 a pound at safeway).

Pickles are high in sodum, but make a good snack as well. Also there are a bunch of very yummy soups that you can quickly heat up for a snack. I like to make my own with my insta-pot. Lets you quickly make a great broth using a bit of beef + mushrooms and veggies (fresh corn is really good in there, a few carrots etc). You can toss in a few pork or chicken pot stickers as well to make it more filling if you want.

I do like carrots, I'm not sure if I could solely snack on those but I'll give it a try. As far as the intermittent fasting goes, I don't do that but I'll try it, how many days a week is it healthy to do that? I'm still making progress, I just thought it would have picked up more after cutting out pop/energy drinks and steering working out again but it seems to be around the same pace as when I was just eating less (that's the 1st thing I did, and it was unintentional, I just have less time to eat with my current job so I eat less)
