Just remembered an argument someone made the other day that one thing thats often overlooked in the goat debate is the number of hall of famers who lost out on championships because of him. Patrick Ewing, Charles Barkley, Stockton and malone, reggie Miller etc. All never won rings cos they kept getting knocked out by Jordan. does that pretty much shut the argument down? How exactly did Jordan prevent Ewing from winning a ring when they made the finals when he was retired? And if thats the qualifications, Isaiah Thomas and Larry Bird are better than Jordan because he kept losing to them before they got old and hurt. Though by "entertainment" logic I might have to give the nod to Kareem Abdul-Jabbar instead because of Airplane and MTV Rock & Jock B-Ball. But there are plenty of potential ones: Beal, harden, Westbrook, embiid, Lillard, Carmelo, cp3, Vince Carter, Blake Griffin. I'm sure there are more. Is LeBron the sole reason these guys never won?
