I literally wrote the title and OP in the most straight forward way possible, such a simple statement without any room for misinterpretation or jokes would be poor trolling if that is what I was going for. It isn't though as I'm dead serious.

As an anti-natalist any argument I get into on the matter is akin to a single man trying to siege a castle as far as how lopsided the scales are in the favor of my opponent from the weight of popular opinion and general human psychology backing them up (although that says nothing about which side is correct in the end).

It's telling that the only counters you can throw are petty insults even when you have the overwhelming advantage. Dismissing my position with incredulity is not an actual counter.

I think you read my post incorrectly, I said I'm not joking. I also said that I made the OP as straight forward and simple as possible, as opposed to typing out a huge essay, to avoid confusion but it seems I failed on that front.

I can see how one might think they equate with each other, but arguing against bringing more people into the world is not the same as telling teens that abstinence is the only way to avoid pregnancy. There is a moral argument to be made against having kids and it can be done with condoms and birth control.

As I said, they are simply two separate questions. You can think about consent for "unborn people" the same way you would moral considerations. For example, I think most people would agree that it would be cruelty towards an unborn child for them to be conceived and given birth to in a situation where they are guaranteed to die painfully or be tortured, think human experimentation or something. The cruelty of the hypothetically is apparent and acknowledgeable but unrealized until such a thing actually happens, until the child is actually born which may not happen at all.

In that same way you can say that although they don't exist and may never exist, a hypothetical person who could exist would not be able to consent to being born. All of the humans who have ever existed were once merely hypotheticaland if you ask around I doubt you'll find anyone (sane) who will tell you they did consent to their birth (regardless of how they feel about being born).
