I havent bought a baseball game since MVP Baseball 2005 and picked this up a couple months ago. Cant put it down. Super impressed with all the content theyve pumped out.

Also today I got tired of getting my ass clapped by people with WS banners in BR, so I went to ranked and got matched with a WS banner using 99 DeGrom. Offered a friendly quit immediately that he denied but I ended up winning in ten innings ayyyy

I would have played it if I ended up getting the PS5 bundle that came with it. No interest in buying it if I don't have to though, sorry.

It's on Xbox Game Pass this year, and yeah it's an amazing baseball game. Probably the most polished sports game i've played to date.

I love the show but this year's Show is the worst one since the PS2 days. The RttS is horrible this year.

I think you definitely can. Theres enough offline Diamond Dynasty content to grind to pick up the game before looking to online play. And I wouldnt say everyone playing online is bringing their best anyways.

Ugh just need the Yankees and Angels to complete the Live Series collections without spending money. Ill probably have enough to finish the Yankees today but itll be awhile before I catch the fish.

I had 4 players left to complete the Live Collection.
I had hit max exp in Innings 1, 2, and 3.

Inning 4 came out and I stopped playing. I was burnt out. I got tired of doing the same conquest map over and over.

MLB games are so hard. I feel bad that l strike out a lot on low change-ups/curve balls.

Change-ups are killing me. Finally laying off sliders a decent amount but I think Im getting worse at picking up change-ups.

Ive played 16 and 20. Theyre okay, if rather predictable. 75% of the time, the opposing team will score first and the guy before you in the lineup will invariably get out to end the inning, so you cant get RBIs.

its a great game

I have it installed and played a bit thanks to Game Pass, but it's still a largely mediocre representation of baseball. And so I returned to Pro Yakyuu 2019 on PS4 where Konami has mastered their craft. The controls, the hitting, fielding, graphics, and most importantly, the animations -- the quality really stands out when switching between the two.

It's better to strike out looking at a fastball barely in the zone then to strike out on a ball that bounces.

they murdered RTTS so bad, Diamond dyansty is enjoyable and at least this year it's not pay 2 win if you like boring yourself to tears flipping cards. The core gameplay is good outside of whatever voodoo magic they allow sinkers to do.

I wish the MLB wouldn't pretend the steroids era didn't exist, it's frustrating that I'll never go to play as my favorite player in Sammy Sosa. And in general I wish they had more cubs players that actually played when I was alive.

if you play offline, yes. If you play online, no. But that's true of any online game

My lowest is rookie pedro at 12, but that's because he's a silver card most people stopped using. If you were the next to do him it would stitll be 22. Likewise Reliever Kerry Wood is 18 the evolution giambi is 45 and the launch week Clemente is 40. I'll get prior in the next couple of days.

nah, i think they have to have 3 pitches though.

He's fun though, can get you a shutout inning if you aren't too high rated as people can't sit on his breaking pitches because they're so slow.

P5-ing that Rizzo is awesome, Id definitely be most proud of that one too. Used him a couple times in BR and you hit the nail on the head. If Im in my first couple games hes unstoppable, but once I win a few Ill get matched with better hitters. I think I got that reliever Wood to P2, but had to give up. I cant place a pitch with him to save my life. I like Prior too, but I think people figure his pitch set after 3-4 innings.

My next rarest is that TN Adolis Garcia card at 39. Then TN DeJong at 292, and Jason Bay at 1k-ish. Not really close with anyone else.

yeah he's not as good as the 'meta' pitchers and his fastball isn't the 100+ you're always late on it. But i'm usually around the 550-650 range. Front dooring his slurve to a righty is a thing of beauty and i can usually get it 3 or 4 times before they'll start swinging. So then is start throwing it more inside. The change is is pretty good, the curve is okay i'll use it just to get some mix with the slurve.

my ranked starting rotation is deGrom, Ohtani, Prior, Maddux, Grienke. I was using the live series deGrom before the all star card...almost wish they didn't add him just so I wouldn't face him so much, but he's fun to use. And borderline unfair at my level. 102 fastball with a great slider and change up. Really want to try to get to 40 wins this ranked season to try to get Gossage, but it's hard to play (and win) 40 games. And i'm def not making world series with how bad i hit.

'fun' was had. but then i won my next one 7-3 to wash that game out. Beyond those two in the short video, his 2 homers were off pci very early. I had a franco perfect perfect for a line out to first. And about 4 or 5 dead on pci for easy flyouts with just barely early timing. 28 more wins to go

Good lord who do you have in RF? And yeah those games where it feels like youre playing better than your opponent but youre getting totally hosed by RNG are the worst.

I really need to drag myself away from BR and play more ranked seasons. I just dont want to play against DeGrom or Cabrera every game (despite that Im contributing to this problem by having them both in my rotation).
