They're better than they were on the Wii U version, and you get better camera control by using them. If you like motion controls, you'll probably like them better than using the right stick.

I guess you could have gotten the idea that they took them out because of TP HD? But that was a pretty different scenario since they were pure garbage waggle. And they used the GC version as the base for the HD port.

Motion controls are better on the Switch but only because it's easier to recalibrate. I tried button controls for a bit and there's massive delay on swings from the stick it's either my pro controller being ass or it's how the game was developed. You can use gyro aiming with the controller even with button/stick controls so you never have to use stick aiming ever.

That said, as someone who never used the joycons ever the battery life on those things are so bad. I going back and forth between control schemes just so my joycons can charge.

Really? I've played for about 7 hours so far without needing to charge with my og joy-con.
