Oh I love the regular Shadowbringers battle music. It's not on the level of the fucking RIDICULOUSLY good boss music, but great nevertheless.

But it certainly is...differernt, and fairly surprising when you first hear it

I grew some distaste for Shadowbringers's battle music, namely because I was a madman who went for Shared FATE completion.

Getting to the top of Kugane is dead easy and can be done within 20 minutes of grinding.

Actually landing on the damn lampost for the sightseeing log is the real challenge. Ended up just cheesing it when some healer was already standing on it, and offering to rez people that use BLU self-destruct so they would rez on top of the lamp post.

okay I started up again

Spent 30 minutes remembering how to play, then did that 2nd dungeon no problem. Our healer had the problem of pulling me on accident several times, but overall it was fine.

Then I hit level 30 during that so I guess time to go change to a Paladin

Saw a party running leviathan extreme, so said fuck it, why not.

Wiped a few times, but eventually got him down, even though on the winning run I was body checked off the edge lol. Aside from the minstrel version of Ultima Weapon, thats the first extreme under my belt!

Also holy shit is there a lot of quests with plus signs post-heavensward.

It's not necessarily that there's way more post Heavensward, it's just that a bunch of the ones in ARR get spread out all over the place, while Heavensward condensed it a good bit.

The Heavensward Hildibrand quest doesn't even start with a blue check!

Really? I couldve sworn the Hildy quest line had a blue checkmark. I thought it was Nashu, though I could be wrong. But I thought it did.

Already finished his line post heavensward. Amusing as always. Vivi was a nice surprise.

It is Nashu, near the shops, but the initial quest (for me at least!) was not initially blue, even though every subsequent quests are blue in the chain. I only selected it because I recognized her as I was walking by. By my recollection both the ARR and Stormblood Hildy quests start blue from the get go, so I thought it was quite odd.

And I do think the HW Hildy quests are absolutely the best ones in hindsight.

I think I'm going to go after the Knights of the Round weapons for my default glamour. Won't be able to get to the game for a while, are any if the items required for crafting going to be an issue? I assume it's not going to be easy, since even if it's old and craftable content, it still glows.

Yes, all of the glowy primal weapons require a rare drop from their respective Extreme trial. While that fight MIGHT be soloable at 80 (might need a healer or tank), this one is still incredibly obnoxious due to the extremely long KotR phase. I would check the MB for prices on the finished item as well as the primal mat, because the weapons are cheaper than the item from time to time.

I dont remember the rest of the mats, likely just timed node and tome items as usual, but the above part will give you the most trouble.

Edit: actually no nevermind, those are one of the very few that actually don't need a drop lol. Looked it up on Garlandtools. The worst thing is probably the battlecraft demimateria which need desynth spam or market board.

Looking at Universals, the weapons look to be going anywhere from 50-200k. Way less than I expected. I remember being fresh into Heavensward and balking at prices, but I was just a 200k Gil baby at the time.

Edit: oh I guess that explains it looking at your edit, if the materials are easier to get than expected. Some of these weapons are dirt cheap so my assumption is that the higher price ones are just to trick the people desperate for glowy shit into biting, lol.

It's because iirc you can get some of the weapons from Zadnor lockboxes.

For the record, they decided this expac that it was too much work to go back and retroactively come up with new gear models for new jobs, so the only ones you can get are the shiny primal weapons they added THIS expac, and even then I don't think it's all of them. I think that limits you to Stormblood trials. The Moonlit weapons are quite good IIRC, but most of the 4 Lords ones are...not. It's slim pickings, my Dancer has a half-completed Bozja relic because for a long time that's all I could get.

Or you can just clear The Epic of Alexander (Ultimate), ez

Pretty cool ending to the post-Heavensward patches. Was definitely a pretty fun ride. Did not see that twist coming with Yda, and the Papalymo death scene was pretty crazy too.

Something tells me I haven't exactly seen the last of Shinryu or Omega, either, so that will be fun.

When I roulette Baelsar's Wall, my first and generally only thought every single time is "I can't wait for sloppy".

First time players seem to have a lot of trouble with the boss in my experience. They panic and don't realize that you just need to DPS the center AOE.

Finally hit Rank 25 in Zadnor, trying to decide if I wanna finish Dal today to complete the questline, or wait until I'm done farming the 180 drops in the 3 zones so I can get the final relic drop for that run and technically be one run more efficient.

imo you should do Dal first, since that unlocks getting Rays that permanently buff you in Bozja/Zadnor/DR. and reset your mettle by 20M. Otherwise every CE/Skirmish you do at max mettle is just wasting it.

Raw emotions are trivial to come by, especially since you get 2 per DR run, and you'll likely do a lot of DR for timeworn artifacts anyway.
