Two things:
1. After 15 seasons, I can't see myself doing game summaries the same for a 16th season. It has become difficult for me, in terms of both willingness and ability, to do the live sim and detailed game summaries. In this season, I have probably done more delayed postings of game summaries than doing it on the same night. Whether that means that I will just post scores in the topic, scores and one of scoring plays/notable players, or some other form is something that I will decide probably in the upcoming offseason. 2. Since the awards info will be going up presumably within the next week, I'm thinking about doing some minor tweaks. While I normally take the nominees the game gives me and make alterations from there, there are a few categories within the game that I make my own nominee list from scratch (K and OL). I'm thinking about doing the big categories (Off Player, Def Player, and MVP) not only from scratch but expanding them to 10 nominees. I'm not a big fan of the nominees that the game is showing right now, and I also think that by me making them from scratch and expanding the list, perhaps there might be some surprise Madden-selected winners at the positional level since in past seasons, they were more prone to be indirectly revealed, or at least narrowed down, through the later categories. --- KCF can't actually be a real person but he is - greengravy If you smell what the rock is cooking he's cooking crap - ertyu ... Two things: It's been easy to see game summaries have become more and more of a nuisance for you, shorten them however you have to. All i really care about in the end is whether we win or not Personally I'd rather just leave the big three categories blank and let us choose from the other nominees, but as long as we can still do write-in votes I'm fine going that route --- Forward, Relentlessly "What the heck is Ranlom?" - lunchboxssj ... Yeah, I'd say shorten the game summaries however you see fit. I don't know if it would be easier but 5 potential options I can think are:
1. Post a video of you scrolling through each game summary. People can pause the video on their game to get stats. I'd guess you're opposed to that otherwise it would have likely been done already. 2. Just post scores + yardage + turnovers for each game. 3. Just post scores. People can always ask for player stats for the season if they can't make the livesim. 4. Keep the same format but give yourself longer breaks between games. I know part of the rush is that once you progress a game week you can't see previous box scores. But if you did livesim as normal and then posted summaries at a later more convenient date for you it might ease how much of a pain summaries are. So maybe like livesim Weds, summaries posted Friday. If you didn't want to drop to only 1 game a week then maybe designate 3 days a week and alternate between livesim and summary so you're basically getting 1.5 games a week. Maybe that's too messy though. 5. Do the same as you are now but whenever it feels too much of a pain to do summaries then just post scores. So some weeks we get summaries, some weeks we don't and it is what it is. ... Copied to Clipboard!

Kansas City Chiefs 9-6 Eliminated from Playoff Contention 8. Jacksonville Jaguars 8-7 9. Columbus Pioneers 7-8 10. Pittsburgh Steelers 6-9 11. Buffalo Bills 6-9 12. Indianapolis Colts 6-9 13. New England Patriots 6-9 14. New York Jets 6-9 15. Cincinnati Bengals 5-10 16. Mexico City Browns 4-11 The Jags unfortunately needed either the Broncos/Browns or Titans/Chiefs to flip results to remain in playoff contention. As it stands, they could force a 3 way tie with the Broncos and Chiefs, but such a situation would eliminate the Chiefs and the Broncos own the head-to-head tiebreaker against the Jags. If the Chiefs lose, the Broncos earn the 6th seed. If the Chiefs win and Broncos lose, the Chiefs earn the 6th seed If both the Chiefs and Broncos win, deep tiebreakers are in effect, and I won't delve into that other than it should go to common games --- KCF can't actually be a real person but he is - greengravy If you smell what the rock is cooking he's cooking crap - ertyu ... I'm not going into full details for what could happen, but here are some things to keep in mind - Cowboys hold tiebreaker over Rams - Eagles hold tiebreaker over Cowboys - 49ers currently hold tiebreaker over Rams but would flip if Rams win and 49ers lose - Vikings hold tiebreaker over Eagles and Cowboys - Orcas hold tiebreaker over Vikings --- KCF can't actually be a real person but he is - greengravy If you smell what the rock is cooking he's cooking crap - ertyu ... Okay, I post this every time the playoffs roll around, but I'm here to tell you who the SB contenders are this postseason based on historical data. I don't tell people ad nauseum that the best path to success is defense and the running game for nothing. Of the previous 28 teams to make the SB, 27 have finished in the top half of the league in running offense while 26/28 have finished in the Top 10 on defense. The exceptions were the inaugural season Dolphins (19th on D), S13's Pioneers (11th on D), and S14's Pioneers (18th in rushing)
Without further ado, your SB representatives are likely to come from this pool: Cowboys Dolphins Raiders Ravens The Rams, Vikings, 49ers, and Orcas are very close but still outside in one of the categories The other four are quite flawed in one of the two areas this season --- KCF can't actually be a real person but he is - greengravy If you smell what the rock is cooking he's cooking crap - ertyu ...
