I think that ending was pretty dang good

I would have liked just slightly more info on where a couple characters go from here, but otherwise Im pretty satisfied.

definitely lives up to the hype of for having a major effect on the entire MCU

I wonder if season 2 will be before or after Ant-Man 3 comes out.

I'm not really feeling this Loki finale.

I'm relieved that we actually got a Kang variant as the main villain, which leads to the introduction of Kang the Conqueror, and hyped for what this means for the MCU moving forward.

But for a series finale, this just came out of nowhere. That Loki/Sylvie fight and kiss scene seemed so forced, it actually took me out of the moment.

And then... no after-credits scene? Just a "see you in season 2"? Fuck that.

well, that was fucking garbage. the optimist in me still held out hope that the loki x sylvie romance was going to go somewhere we didn't expect it to go but nope. terrible, soap opera level dialogue, climaxing in the inevitable BIG KISS. ugh.

why is mobius suddenly so dumb? yeah dude, just attack renslayer. i'm sure nothing could possibly go wrong.

kang was good but that was all this episode had going for it.

this show was shit. the falcon & the winter soldier was vastly superior.

I didn't say there were no jokes, but it didn't have a ton of jokes and the ones it did have fell flat at best. One of the most awful jokes transitioned into the two characters pointing out that they had their reproductive organs removed because their "dad" let them get taken to the red room. Ha ha, so hilarious... Yeah, female organ mutilation, that's the upbeat moment we really needed between action scenes. But again, you're clinging onto the wrong thing here. It's not the jokes or lack there of, it's the overall tone. If you actually think about the content in BW, it borders on depressing. It does not feel like it belongs in the MCU, at all. In fact, I made a mistake earlier in comparing it to the Thor movies. I'd take kids to go see those Thor movies, risking that they'd be bored (well, Thor 2 is boring). I wouldn't take a kid to see Black Widow, risking that they'd ask me about hysterectomies.

i get his action, my problem is moreso that he apparently legitimately thinks he can beat her. when renslayer says "you're of no danger to me," it would be one thing if he responds "you leave me no choice" or something, but instead he's all "OH YOU THINK THAT HUH?" then when she beats him, he goes "OH GUESS YOU WERE RIGHT WHOOPS." just stupid.

also, i assume it was supposed to be comedic but it wasn't funny at all. reminds me of episode 1, where they constantly did the "loki thinks he's super powerful and knows everything and then he gets his ass kicked lol" thing. just give this joke a rest already.

Yeah, I don't want to talk to a kid about that, and that's something that's said in response to one of the "jokes" in this movie. If you're prepared to explain that "humor" to a kid I guess good for you.

The same reason a lot of Thor's humor is great. He's doing something silly while playing it completely straight. Plus, Hemsworth just has fantastic comedic delivery.

It's also the main reason Thor plays so well off of the Guardians. He's just as ridiculous as they are. He just doesn't realize it.

Im still processing it all and want to watch a second time, but I really liked the last episode of Loki. My only complaint, as others have mentioned, is the lack of a post-credit scene.

Conflicted... part of me really liked a lot of it, but it really does end quite suddenly, leaving you unsure of how things ended up.

But then... that's actually quite normal for your standard TV series planned to continue another season, leaving you hanging with the next season cliffhanger (that more often than not just gets resolved in the first 1-2 episodes of the next season lmao)

Guess I'm just not used to it with MCU, and other series definitely didn't play it out that way but just as your standard MCU teasers of what's next... which is another odd thing Loki opted out of. Hm.

Kang's great tho, really glad with his first appearance here and at the same time with the whole variant business we're allowed a singular Kang target to even kill off, while warning of what's to come. The show definitely makes for a mandatory viewing to get the creation of the multiverse and Kang.

i've thought this first 5 episode of Loki were a giant pile of mediocrity at best. i'm almost afraid to watch the finale because i dont want to end this series thinking it sucked. I genuinely love Loki as a character and think he's one of the best characters in the MCU, and I love the MCU and everyone in it to begin with, so i dont think i'm biased against it or anything. it's just been a giant mishandling of the character. to think this series is below par hurts.

I mean, I think thats why these shows have all been different. I thought Loki was a top tier marvel entertainment, better than almost all of the movies. Uncoincidentally my favorite marvel movies are the weird ones that arent like super hero movies like Spider-Man homecoming. Every week I showed up completely unsure where it was going which made me constantly interested.

I think its good they arent making all the shows homogenous.

I'm pretty sure Loki (S2) will fit in between those last two, directly leading into the final movie mentioned.

The only thing I don't get about that is shouldn't we have seen it happen? The TVA is outside of time, so it shouldn't just suddenly change like a normal Timeline being altered in the past or whatever. But idk this show is confusing lol.

Definitely feel this. Loki felt like generic protagonist the last couple eps.

Wouldn't say this applies to the entire show though.

I mean Loki probably doesn't feel like Loki as much because he's trying to become something different

it does come across as kind of strange, admittedly, because you're so used to him being a certain way

You can change alignments without completely stripping the character of personality.

Also wouldn't call it contemplating, merely restated the plot and then accepted it as true because reasons.

Actually, thinking back on it now, although not a Phase 4 movie, I would honorary mention Spider-Man: Far From Home as the first MCU mention of the possibility of a multiverse, even if, at the time, it all ended up being staged.

Unless, of course, I'm missing some other type of mention in another movie. But I doubt it.

This multiverse plot has me so excited, that it's making me appreciate the Loki finale a bit more.
