The first episode gives a pretty good impression of what you can expect. Mild comedy, lots of titty (except his episode for some reason), and mildly erotic situations. It's just weird to me this week because it seems like it was a censored version or something despite the situations probably being the most sexual of any of the episodes.

This topic has been slow lately. Kingdom is still great, everything else I'm still watching is still good I guess. Tales of arise can't come soon enough.

Mostly unrelated but I was playing some mount and blade:warband recently, which is kinda like dynasty warriors+civilization or something. Anyway, given that it has a fair amount of horses in it (you mostly fight from horseback, it's even in the title) steam now thinks I love horse games and all my recommendations are for horses games which is mostly really weird furry VNs and horse care simulators I wish I could go back to not knowing existed.

I've been playing a lot of Pokemon Unite. Anime of the season (that isn't Dragon Maid) is... Love Live. The season is pretty meh and I'm not digging the vtuber sphere recently. I will probably get Tales of Arise for Christmas or something. I don't really have any urgency to get it like I didn't have any urgency to get Cold Steel 4.

Ugh. I really can't be trusted with money.

I just got my first bit of somewhat disposable income and the first thing I do is buy both The World Ends With You: Final Remix, and NEO: The World Ends With You.

Granted, it's unlikely these games are gonna ever go down in price considering they're Switch games but man, dropping down $120 for only two games kinda hurts especially since I mostly buy games when they're sub $30.

I've been really feeling the convention drought lately. I normally go to 2-3 cons a year, there haven't been any in my area since 2019. Wizard World was already losing interest in having Comic Con in my town so I'd bet that's gone for good, and one of the locally based cons has shifted focus away from conventions for a while because it was a big money drain on them. (They're mainly a charity focused on child literacy through pop culture. I still like to volunteer with them every once in a while because I like the concept.)

The local anime convention is back this year, but I hit a snag in my cosplay plans. I wanted to dress as the killer/black silhouette from Detective Conan:

But shipping is ridiculous for that site. I wanted to get all five masks, but they'd charge $60 for shipping; more than the price of the masks themselves. I could make a damn mask myself for much less than that.

tbh, I've never been into cons. I could have got free tickets to NYCC years ago but then that would have entailed going to NYC, and... meh.

Anything worth going to isn't terribly convenient to get to, and the rest is whatever.

Man, I'm nearly twice the age when I first discovered TWEWY during the height of my emo teenager phase and its themes and lessons impacted my worldview, but it still manages to hit something deep within me after all this time.

I don't think so in that way. For me anime did that. I really miss when a piece of media frequently had the ability to change or at least inform my worldview. Feels like I've seen all there is to see at this point even if thats not true.

Yeah its great, really a fun ride.

Its suprising how likeable the main character is considering:
A) its a shonen
B) main character is a young boy (my god no screaming!)

Also yeah that anime intro is great!

I think a large part of it is that there is a huge cast of characters and gon is never presented as being anywhere close to the strongest, which keeps him humble and the stakes high. He's presented as someone with good potential but a long way to go and the story isn't afraid to let someone else take center stage for large portions of the show.

It feels wrong to have a team of basically all OCs in a Gacha, but two of my guys can wipe a party in one hit, one of which can do it with basically no setup.

My healer can buff my party to +450% and almost has 100k hp in a game where the tankiest units have like 85k.

Man haikyuu is so damn good. Finished up the last of the anime for now. The last game they played was the best IMO. They didn't even really feel like an underdog, which in itself just shows you far all the characters have come.

Goddess dorm continues to be one the horniest ecchi shows I've seen. Kinda feel like I'm getting bored of slime isekai. I think they just killed the pace too hard with all the meetings so that even though things are finally happening, I just don't feel that invested.

Newt is pretty incredible. Just standing near her cuts damage received by a pretty great amount and this applies to everyone within a certain range.

It's almost October and I need to find some horror manga series I haven't read... which I realize might be hard because I've cleared through a lot of the great stuff. (Granted, I guess some of the series I had been following but stopped probably have had a ton of updates.).

Basically every major story arc throughout the series seems to reference some facet of Christianity. It never really goes away, although some of it is less obvious. How they tied it all together at the end was silly.
