I ended up moving 2mos after getting all the rewards, and only had to go through 2 of the events, one while I was at work and family out so it did its thing, the other when it was crazy hot and I just opted out of that event and adjusted the temperature manually. Its not like youre forced to live through insane heat, you can change it at any time. How do people get tricked if they can get something out of it? I guarantee you a lot of these people got free thermostats out of it, entered to win prizes, rebates on their bills, etc. It tells you when you enroll about everything. The company is certainly not remotely controlling thermostats with absolutely no disclosure. --- If you don't want to argue about something, take the initiative and stfu.
