They weren't bad, you're just a snob. Jurassic World was basically Jurassic Park again and that's great. JW2 was really goofy, but it was still fun.

Jurassic Park is one of the greatest films ever made. Jurassic World had less depth than transformers.

I just hate how bad the dinosaurs look in Jurassic World. They need to fire whoever thought it was a good idea to CGI over the animatronic dinosaurs.The fact that the first movie dinosaurs look more real than the newer films says a lot.

I love me some Jurassic Park but what made it so great vs the rest? It had its fair share of cheesy acting and dialogue, and outside of nostalgia clouding judgement, its not that different than the newer ones.

The thing everyone making these movies fails to grasp is that the human characters are what made the first film so great. The dinosaur action sequences have been consistent, but only the first film had a character focus to keep things interesting between action sequences.

I still think the Jurassic World movies are fun though. At least compared with the Jurassic Park sequels.

Because after the first JP movie they all began to focus on making movies that were just a series of action setpieces designed to maximize spectacle, a franchise of vehicles whose purpose was to sell various toys.

First one had wayyyy more suspense than world

the raptor in the kitchen scene was absolutely fantastic

Because no thought was put into creating the characters. JW is all about set pieces and new dinosaurs. It's a classic case of style over substance.

About as good of a case as to why its not that amazing as you can get.

The fact is its good movie that is regarded highly due to its SFX at the time, a few characters that held it together, and a few scenes that stood out, just like T2.

Ive watched them a few times over the years, still think theyre solid just nothing close to amazing.

I grew up with these movies, so its not like Im not nostalgic for themI just realized over the years that theyre not much different than the sequels if you can let go of the theyre the originals and had heart bs mentality.

They were just made to get people into seats to make money from the Jurassic Park name. The movies had no substance and just seemed rushed without any real thought, direction or care put into them. The characters sucked and seemed like cardboard cutouts with no real personality and the plot was terrible like the script and screenplay were written in a day.

-Spiteful, nihilistic sense of humour

-No likeable characters

-Dinosaurs mostly looked worse than in 1993

-Minimal story and basic dialogue to (ostensibly) increase sales in foreign markets

They turned into exploitation movies, essentially.

Hot take maybe, but Jurassic World nearly surpasses the original. I think simply being a marvel for its time is what keeps most people clinging to it. (Kind of like how people poop over Crystal Skull even though it's actually the most fun Indy film, but I digress.) That said, Fallen Kingdom really didn't need to exist. It was unnecessarily bleak and was clearly only meant as an excuse to turn what should have been a perfect one-off into a whole new franchise.

I liked them. I prefer the World movies to Lost World and JP 3

Jurassic World just didn't mesh well with the original films. Reminds me of Disney's Star Wars trilogy. The creators carefully consider the previous movies when making the new ones.

I liked Jurassic World, it had its stupid moments and didn't capture the magic of the first but I had a fun time, anyway. The second one though just cranked the stupidity up to 11, there's a certain limit of stupid I can handle in a plot.

The original was the only truly good one.

That being said I didn't hate the world movies they just weren't the sort of movies I've ever felt the need to watch again.

One of the brothers should have been killed by a dino.

I enjoyed all of them
