Assuming my order processes correctly, should have it today.

I'm totally new to Sony, never had a Sony system before. Never played any of the games.

First game I want to play is Persona 5.

Was a shocker to see it's only $19.99 on the shop, because I'm used to paying $60 for old games as a Nintendo fanboy.

Its lightyears better technology than the Switch and made me totally not care that I own one.

Also, I hope you have a nice tv to play games on. Check out Ratchet and Clank to see what the PS5 can do. Again, its visuals are at least 2 generations above the Switch.

So Royal is the 'updated version' of Persona 5 then? I'll definitely get that then, if you guys say it's worth it. Been super hyped about this game for a while and wanting to play it, so I'll definitely get the better version.

Because I don't have any past Sony consoles and I want to go ahead and invest in this cycle of exclusives. Plus I've been super hyped about Persona 5 and I couldn't justify buying a PS4 when a PS5 is out.

As a follow up, PS+ costs $9.99 per month, or discounted rates of $24.99 per quarter or $59.99 per year. So based on that, it is a pretty good bargain if you want to play a number of those games I listed (not to mention the monthly free games).

Oh, very cool. Thanks for the info. I'm interested in playing RE7, Crash, TLOU, and Uncharted off that list(Dunkey tells me it's good). God of War too maybe. Oh and Bloodborne.

For Persona 5 though, I'm so hyped for that game that now that I know there's a Royal version, ima just have to buy that. Everyone on forums is saying it's worth it to buy that over playing Persona 5 vanilla for free.

Yeah I'll just day 1 buy a year sub. Not a big deal.

Will be worth it to go through the backlog of Sony games I've missed.

Royal goes on sale regularly now if you're willing to wait. Got the physical steel book for $20, and I think the digital version was at a similar price in a recent sale. No point in playing the original version because Royal is the exact same game plus more content and better gameplay.

you need to download those games the month they are free.

if you try to download March games in June, you wont be able to get them for free obviously

IIRC all those games are free anytime through PS Plus, separate from the monthly games.

With the monthly free PS+ games, you dont need to download them. You just look them up and select Add to library. At that point, you can download them at any time, so long as you remain enrolled in PS+.

I just use the PlayStation App to add them to the library. Its much quicker than using the consoles.

but their monthly games need to be added to library, during the specific month. Youre right about not needing to download right away.

I'm in the same boat as TC. Got my PS5 last month and it's the first Playstation I've owned. I'm only planning on buying exclusives + sports games + COD for it since I have a gaming PC and Switch. I never could get into playing sports games not on a console for some reason

My brother right here. That's what I have too. Gaming PC and Switch. My logic was basically, "If I could pay $399 in order to allow my gaming PC to play Playstation exclusives, would I?" The answer was yes.
