I'm still muddling through. Got to the Quarian/Geth arc in the main story and the Citadel DLC left to do, but done the bulk of the side missions.

Then it's time for a Legendary replay I guess.

When I first played ME1 back in 2007, I felt a bit intimidated by the combat mechanics, so I stuck with Soldier. When you're not sure what you're doing, it's usually easier to just pew pew pew.

Same until ME3 when I tried Vanguard.

Of course I say this having only played the "Soldier-hybrid" classes. Only through ME1 on Infiltrator so far though.

Just did the dreadnought.

Bizarre to me that the Paragon option in the aftermath is to be like "sure bombing the dreadnought we're on and endangering the civilian fleet was fine, no problem Han Gerrel mate"

That one is even weirder because other Paragon options with other characters (at least Joker) do not match up with that.

I reloaded my save to see that one. I was expecting sarcasm or something when I saw that at first.

I guess there's something to be said for being diplomatic and not yelling at the admiral you're trying to ally with, but still

Bioware games used to have classes that were explicitly worse at combat. They had more utility outside of combat (unlocking doors, opening treasure cheats, and hacking computers, most commonly) but you typically didn't need more than one

When playing a long-form game I'd typically pick a combat class so I could carry whatever team I wanted on adventures

Using spells is fun, but in the end I just want to get to the plot as efficiently as possible

Well you don't have to do either of you found his armor.

Or if you have only 4 squadmates he magically comes around I understand, but that means not recruiting Garrus so no one does that.

Man, for some reason inviting the squadmates to the apartment is hitting as hard as ever this time. I love these characters. Almost all of them put a smile on my face.

I know some people hate it and I'm not saying it's the voice acting performance of the decade or anything but Buzz Aldrin being the voice at the end always gets me
