Some key points:

• Teams are now 5v5, Tank role now limited to one. Tanks are gaining new abilities, and the goal is to transition them to a more "brawler" role rather than just being about shields and defending.
• New maps include New York, Monte Carlo, Rio, Rome, Toronto
• Ability changes include Mei's blaster no longer freezing people completely, and Winston getting an alt fire where he shoots out a bolt of lightning.
• Other stuff that's already been known was shown off too, like the hero design changes, the new Pushing robot game type, Supports now having passive healing, etc.

Not fond of a lot of the changes on paper so far. 1 tank with them all being more brawl focused sounds horrible beyond belief. Blizzard literally sitting here seeing tank role suffering the most and just says they give up. Considering how poorly theyve done with OW1s balance I dont have any faith in OW2 really. Even fewer people are going to want to be tank when theyre the only one. Reduces a ton of options and heavily increases the pressure too

To be fair as primarily a tank player I've been enjoying the shift in the balance so far they've made to make tanks more of brawlers. The buffs to Reinhardt, D.Va, and Roadhog have all made them much more fun to play and more impactful. And when they had that 3-2-1 experimental card last yeah playing as the only tank was freaking amazing. Rein, Winston, and Zarya were so fantastic to play as and you could absolutely carry entire games if you were good enough without worrying about needing your team to support you.

That said, balance is a concern. If the one tank falls, does the whole team just collapse then? On the other hand, if you play DPS you might be able to carry your team yourself if you take care of the opposing tank, so everyone has a chance to make big plays. I much prefer the change the game has been taking to being more focused on individual play as opposed to the over-importance of MOBA style team-based comps that dominated previously and if OW2 heads into that same direction I won't have a problem with it.

I felt the opposite. 3/2/1 was awful because none of the tanks were buffed enough to be capable of dealing with 3 DPS worth of damage coming at them and thats ignoring that most players are bad enough to just completely abandon their tank and not heal them anyways because theyre pocketing the DPS carry. They cant even competently balance the current game so I dont have any faith whatsoever theyre going to make tank feel good when the role as a whole feels terrible at the moment.
