Got this guy who cranks up his bass every evening between 5pm-7pm or so and it just vibrates my skull. I've already complained about him twice at this point, once as recently as about a week ago when he was really cranking it at 9am.

I know the apartment manager is following up because every time I call, the music stops about two minutes later (and because I can hear his phone alerts go off through the speaker). But times like now at 6:50 I can't/won't exactly bother management after work hours because she's just one person and she has a life outside this place.

But either way, the topic title remains true. Message to anyone who listens to heavy bass in an apartment; literally (and I do mean literally) nobody but you wants to hear that garbage.

Loudest thing I got is my TV and it aint got no bass. Plus it's not like they'll understand. People who play bass music lack the self awareness to understand the message that one would try to send by returning fire in such a fashion. Additionally, I recognize the fact that I have neighbors and I don't want to get in trouble for disrupting the four other units around me just to get back at the one.

Honestly yelling I can tolerate. My grievance is specifically with bass. I'm sitting here playing Cyberpunk at maybe 25/100 volume, which is moderately loud and drowns out any actual volume/lyrics/music/etc., but bass cannot be stopped with sheer volume. It just vibrates through my skull and I fucking hate it.

That's the problem though, it's not that loud -- the volume isn't the issue. It's just the bass. When I stand outside their unit, I can barely feel or hear anything. It's just specifically the wall that my living room shares with his whatever room. Even if I were to waste a cop's time on something pointless like this, I would basically have to invite him into my apartment and ask him to just listen.

It'd be unlikely they even hear the thumping, and if they did, they probably wouldn't care. Either way, they still wouldn't be able to put two and two together that "hey, maybe this person is slamming the wall because my music is too loud." These people don't operate like that.
