The faces, lighting, and combat looks way better in ME1. Won't expect as big a jump in it other 2 but wow. I'm honestly impressed.

Now to see if they fixed the goddamn awful inventory management.

I remember this time in gaming well. It was after Wow and the marketting was crazy. It was when "epic" became a thing. I can't really say games are much better now. The video game industry became very greedy.

Mass Effect 1 is still one of the top 3 games I've played in the last 20 years. There has been a lot of hype for other games but it still stands up. ME 2 was a more fleshed out game but ME1 still had those staples of old school rpgs and took that huge step to better graphcis too. i really don't think games have improved much. If anything the graphics have gotten slightly better but they've lost what made ME1 great.

It's something that always weirds me out, when you put high res textures and post-processing effects on very dated models.

I don't hold it against them that much though. Redoing the animations and facial movements would've been a ton of work.

The only other issue I have with ME1 based on what I've seen so far is the lighting. They ditched that godawful UE3 darkness shit where it dims everything down, which is nice, but I don't know about how bright and flat everything looks.

Though it's entirely possible it's just the way my laptop monitor looks

Or since the environments I noticed it in (the ship and Citadel) are supposed to have artificial lighting I guess that's maybe on purpose?

I'm still not buying it either because the whole "legendary" edition and rehashing rubs me the wrong way. It's still a videogame regardless and the whole legendary edition seems really pretentious. Especially after Andromeda.

You download games on EA Play. I used it to play Fallen Order.

You will probably need the more expensive tier on PC though.

Keep in mind there's EA Play and EA Play Pro. EA Play only gives you 10 hours with new releases.

Imagine simping for a "multi-millioniare company", don't understand this mentality when the only non dogshit games they've put out in the past 7-8 years are straight up remakes from when they were a good developer.

Anthem was the final straw for me for this dogshit company. I was smart and learned my lesson. But I guess blind fanboys like you are happy to enable their crap by funding them.

We literally had people defending the Mario trilogy on switch with basically zero updates. Granted sunshine complete was expensive as fuck otherwise but still, that's the only redeeming factor of 3d all stars for me, being able to play that one game at a decent price.
