Watched til he got to his complaint. Basically the battery under the hood powers all of the electronics including the doors (I think) and hood, but once the battery that powers the car is topped off the charger no longer provides power to the battery under the hood. So if you don't use your car often the battery under the hood can die while the battery under the car is alive but it renders your car basically useless until you can get the hood up and charge the battery under the hood.

The hood it's under is powered by the same battery. Not sure if theres a manual way to open it but he didn't make it seem like it was easy. Don't really care about teslas just wanted to see what's up with this vid tbh lol

That's only half of his complaint. The other half of his complaint is the hour it took to get into the bonnet, dismantle some plastic pieces to access the battery, and then start trickle charging it.

Ah, so it's not just that it dies if you don't drive the car enough. It's that it's a pain in the ass to get to it after that happens. That does seem like a pretty stupid oversight.

Hopefully they fix it then, because if I get a Tesla, it would be the Model S lol

You're locked out of your own car at the same time due to all electric controls being useless since the 12V battery is dead.

What a pain the ass method to get access to your 12 V battery.

The fact that you have to go through that many steps just to access your own battery is ridiculous.

That's probably one of the reasons they tell you not to charge the battery all the way up unless you're about to go on a long trip. It's still ridiculous that it takes so many steps to work around that problem.
