Now all you need is about 5 years of experience and you can pretty much name your price.

Only problem is all the travel required. It's easy when you are young - more difficult when you get older.

Congrats!

Not sure what the job market is like now. When I graduated it was during the Great Recession and I struggled to find a job in the field for a while (I was in IEEE and remember being told that the unemployment rate for engineers had surged from 1% to 8%, just really bad times, even for tech....). If it's like that again now, you'll probably have people all around you saying to go back to school for your MS to "wait it out". DON'T DO THAT! I'm so glad I didn't listen to that advice.
If you get an engineering job, they'll pay your tuition to get a masters degree, don't pile on more debt just to get a more advanced degree you could've gotten for free later on, but still have no experience. Being basically debt free was invaluable to me, life would've been much harder struggling to find work if I had a sword of Damacles (debt that is nearly impossible to discharge) over my neck, too.

i finished college in 2018 but never got an internship so i never graduated

it's either have experiance you don't get from college or have a ridiculously high gpa for a science degree

Ain't nothing like going to linkedin and seeing "entry level position, requires 12-15 years of experience".

Uuuuh, things are odd, I'm posting to individual jobs right now, and I'll go to a headhunting company once some other stuff in my life is in order (namely car shopping).

So do I, especially when you learn, in most cases, employers looking for a degree and that many years of experience don't pay any more than openings where you don't need that amount of experience. What those employers are looking for are 'diamonds in the rough' or employees that they believe can 'hit the ground running' so that they don't have to pay for any on the job training.

Yesh, is that an entry level engineering management position or something? Because I don't think they understand what that word means.

No, that's romanticized bull shit.
What those employers are looking for is an excuse to claim they "couldn't find an American worker that met the job requirements" and thus need to fill it w/ an H1-B visa or other visa.

You gotta remember, this is also HR we're talking about.

They extremely rarely know what's required for the job, and hire more on a story than technical background.
