It's presumably also why older teachers tend to still have "antiquated" systems and routines--it's because it's hard to unlearn something you do, on repeat, every day for so many years lol. It honestly becomes ingrained and anything that is new or different becomes difficult to adopt.

lol. its funny because our school just reopened. as soon as we reopened, teachers started asking for external monitors to plug into their laptops and we were like "what why you never needed them before?"

i guess at home, teachers used second monitors or plugged their work laptops into their desktop computer monitors and had zoom on one and their work in another.

creatures of habit lmao.

we told them to use spare chromebooks laying around lmao.

i dont even get another monitor, and i run technology!! i had to salvage mine! its like 19 inches and still uses DVI!

It's not a generational thing sadly. I work with people in their early 20s that have no idea about tech.

Hey man. Dvi ain't that bad. At least you aren't stuck with vga.

At my last company all the IT guys had two monitors. Then as people would start walking up to our area, they'd see our monitors and start requesting dual monitors. Then other departments would see theirs and do the same. Damn domino effect that resulted in most of the employees getting dual monitors. Was really funny.
