They probably gave them time to sort things out since they are all still WFH anyways. Giant Bomb is functionally dead if he leaves, and there are still other people working there who would get screwed over by that. Also he would definitely have been the highest paid person on the site + has health insurance he probably doesnt want to lose given he has one chronically sick baby and another baby on the way. Hes not going to risk giving up a stable thing right now if he can avoid it. on the other end of it, I have to wonder about the financial incentive for Nextlander to bring anyone else onto the team. The money theyre getting right now is pretty good if you split it three ways, they have to really weigh if adding another person is going to get enough additional subscribers to justify splitting it four ways instead. Obviously if anyone would be worth it, it would be Jeff, but I wonder if anyone else would be worth it for them.
