The kinda plus is they can take care of your lawn. I've never been headbutted by one of my goats. And my goats are pretty small so even if they did it wouldn't hurt much. A lot of owners have their goats disbudded as babies so they can't grow horns, but I prefer to leave them on. The horns act as radiators when it's hot. The biggest problem with caring for goats is finding a vet; very few still handle livestock anymore. I do have to feed them during the winter, but they don't really eat that much (compared to a horse) and once spring comes around they can pretty much take care of themselves. They just need fresh water, a salt lick, and I occasionally have to sweep up their pellets in the barn.
