Ninja Theory was like "Let's reboot the series and make it solely for a American caucasian teenage punk audience!" and that is what we got. It had fun gameplay, a fantastic art direction(the way walls would elongate and the world would change as you moved through it is still incredible to this day). Story was fun, not life changing. The game really, really didn't like women. The story had a whole host of other problems too but they're all golden next to the sniper rifle abortion. The gameplay was ok after they added a truckload of patches. The Vergil DLC was still ass though even if Vergil himself played alright. EVERYONE still knows Dante and loves him, hence Devil May Cry 5 being a massive success.
