I felt like ti was really enjoyable. I'm messing with yakuza now trying to play some of the more underrated games I missed. So many cut scenes though and the combat is tedious. I may just go back and play this. People always mention Mad Max. But I"m feeling like Days Gone was.

The ps5 really has nothing I want. I'm in no rush to get it and might be done this gen anyways. been gaming for a long time.

The ps4 is good although I felt like Horizon Zero Dawn and Ghosts of Tsushima weren't much better than Days Gone if at all. I actually liked Days Gone better.

The main games I played this gen were the usual top games like Red Dead 2. Witcher 3. It's not as good as those. Played Fallout IV. It was alright..... Cyberpunk is about as good as that and pretty overrated/underrated. I think it's comparable to Days Gone where I just like it regardless. PLayed Mafia III, Andromeda, some of the AC games. Pretty terrible games. Odyssey and Origins were alright but tedious. The rest were pure crap. Watch Dogs was crap. Played Dragon's Dogma and KIngdom Come Deliverence too but more games I couldn't get into. Infamous Second Son. Batman Arkham Knight. I think that's everything I bought this gen outside of sports games. I also bought the mafia 2 remaster and la noire. I'm probably missing some. I may still buy the Mafia remaster. I felt like the mafia 2 remaster was kind of a waste of money though.

I played until dawn and uncharted 4 as well. I rented those though. Most games I buy are open world for replayability.

I thought Days Gone wasn't good at all. Zero likeable characters, and a super underwhelming twist. Third act dragged on way too long, and those freaking refueling trips is super annoying. It just doesn't feel like a 1st party game since its so unpolished.

I really wanted it cause I saw that glorious chunk of zombie coming at you in the trailers but they say everything else about it isn't really fun apart from the driving around >_>

It depends. The reviews suffered from open world fatigue in a pretty major way. If you don't have that so much, it's pretty enjoyable imo.

Well seeing that it sucked, it was rated accordingly.

I think it's pretty good. It's fresh in my memory right now, so I might overrated it in comparison to other games.

Best games I've played this gen are RDR2, Witcher 3, Days Gone and Cyberpunk. Out of that list above is what I've played. And I'm somewhat bored. I can't get into Yakuza for some reason. I had the same issues with Dragon's DOgma and Kingdom Come Deliverance. Well made games but just too quirky for me. I feel like i want to go back and play Days Gone again. There are some really cool things in that game.
