Don't "..." me!

Names in case you need them or don't want them spoiled for a game you haven't played yet:

1-3 - Dee Vasquez

2-3 - Ken "Acro" Dingling

3-3 - Furio Tigre

4-3 - Daryan Crescend

5-3 - Aristotle Means

6-3 - Beh'leeb Inmee

E1-3 - Lance Amano

E2-3 - Dane Gustavia

L-3 - Jean Greyerl

Man, this is a really strong batch (and E1-3's) with a wide variety of motives. I don't think I've voted for JFA in anything thus far other than best 4th case, so I think I'll throw it a vote here.

I also did.

The one bright spot in the whole case. Bonus points for trying to kill the worst recurring character in the series.

Went with Greyerl, but I'd probably pick G1-3's culprit if they were an option.

I went with E2-3, but 3-3, 5-3, and 6-3 were all very tempting options.

I agree. Even though I knew the second they came on screen that they would be the killer (and I think they might have even appeared before the murder was even discovered), they were just really fun to pick apart and had some awesome animations. I voted for them.

Not really into this batch, went with Tigre.

Means was ok but I really dislike that case and it's hard to separate the two.

I feel weird voting in these because I haven't played any AA games since Edgeworth 1 but I loved Dee Vasquez getting Edgeworth so flustered so I gave her a vote

instinct coming in was 3-3, but i think i'm going with e2-3.

great set of killers though, even in the worst cases (2-3, 4-3)

2-3 culprit is the only good thing about this case. Voted for them

I liked 5-3 idea of the end justifies the means. This is kinda my way of life. But that's all

In Layton I liked Jean backstory iirc it was kinda sad

E2-3 would probably be my second choice.

Really interesting choices. I'm not sure who to even vote for.

I think it's tied between 5-3, E2-3, and L-3 for me. 5-3 is a pretty simple character, but executed well. Very memorable culprit. I think the way E2-3 is structured makes the culprit much more memorable. Seeing both Edgeworths take down Gustavia as a generational villain is just damn cool. L-3 is really good as a sympathetic character and the ending is so strong and emotional. I think it has to be L-3.

I kept thinking they wouldn't be the case's culprit because I assumed they were going to be the game's overarching villain haha

One of the few villain reveals in Ace Attorney that genuinely surprised me. Also has a Top 10 breakdown for sure.

I was kind of hoping one of the three friends would be the culprit, but I guess that would've been a bit too dark for the series.

I really love the culprit's style in 1-3.

Also L-3 is actually in contention of being the best one here. I'm quite surprised by how heartfelt their backstory was.

5-3, because the villain's transformation is hilarious (and kinda scary, too). And it just feels epic taking that person down!

HM to 1-3 because Dee Vasquez's nonchalant wit is the best!

Edit: Wait, I love 2-3's villain, too. Was literally the only villain that made me doubt he was actually the criminal.

5-3's villain was so obvious, that I thought they would save him for the final case, as the guy who was instilling the "dark age of the law" from the core of Japanifornia's education system.

I love it when I can tell who the killer is before the murder happens. 5-3 is the most obvious example of that in the series.

5-3 was a fun one for sure. I'm also fond of 1-3 and 3-3's, this is a strong batch! (Though 2-3's is meh and I can only assume people are grading them on a curve based on everyone else in 2-3 being awful)

No, not really
I voted for him because he is normal. Almost every character in Ace Attorney is crazy and/or stupid
But Acro is a very normal person surronded by idiots

Nah, he's a great opponent because he's unflappable, and the decisive moment where you catch him is fantastic. His confession (along with the Reminiscence theme that accompanies it) is really good as well.

Looks like 3-3 has pulled away, but I'm glad to see some solid representation for some of the others.

Also I think T&T is going to win 4 of the 5 culprit days! It won't win case 4, but I'd bet it wins case 5.

6-3 is interesting. I definitely like the motive and backstory of the Inmees, but I think Tahrust carries that really hard. He'll win victim for sure.

wait, if we're doing background cases (ala DL-6, etc.), does that mean we get background victims too

also I'm trying to figure out what to do with the background cases in terms of these polls

I didn't do one for defendants because in a lot of the background cases, the defendant is also the real killer, but there are also a couple of notable exceptions in DL-6 (Yanni Yogi) and UR-1 (Simon Blackquill). But I don't want to deprive people a chance to vote for von Karma because he'll probably win, so I'm trying to figure out if I should put him in the case 4 culprits or do one just for background cases.

But DL-6 is also notable because you hold a trial for it in 1-4 so I might just have to use two slots for 1-4.
