I'm not spending on this banner, so I'm trying to decide what to free pull for. Blue is tempting for potential Benny/Tana merges... but that also risks pulling the Surtr. >_>

It's not worth it, man. Red and colorless are the only true Surtr free colors here

Naesala would straight up replace Tibarn on my Light team, which I don't feel great about, but Light needs all the help it can get. I'm not really a fan of Naesala's art :(

They could have at least tried to make it less obvious he's Stall Ploy fodder. Why does he need all that Res when he's not supposed to take a hit

I don't like his art much either, and Pirate Tibarn is still my favorite flying beast. I was targeting green mostly on the banner, but I will certainly put Naesala to use. I think it means I have to get the Pirate Lion King next year

Continuing the trend of getting free 5* focus greens with bad IV's, I got -Atk Sanaki today. Even her refine won't salvage her :/

I thought first place winners get one additional new skill, but they're all gaining three new skills. Am I missing something?

Eirika seems like who I want the most from a glance. Marianne seems disappointing since they just slapped Atk/Spd Unity and NFU on her

DF increase again with no increase in the normal distribution..... Ughhh

Also, are they really not doing anymore demotions this year??

A unique skill for each is apparently the new normal. Claude is wondering where his Golden Deer Rule is.

My plan was always to get a copy of Eirika, Marianne, and Gatekeeper. Eirika got better treatment than I expected

I don't know if I should get a copy of Marianne or GK as they might come in handy in AR. I wonder why IS keeps using Marianne's artist..... All the faces he draws look the same, and they're ugly faces

Pelleas has "eh" fodder (Atk/Spd Brazen and Atk/Res Oath). I'm not sure what to make of his tome though.

On the plus side, his stats are pretty nice. He avoided the "slow, magically bulky red mage" syndrome.

And sparked Marianne and Marth to complete the set.

What great pulls

It has been a long time since they've given us a good grail unit, and Pelleas comes close, but misses the mark. He has good ATK, but not the Spd to back it up and requires heavy investment. Atk Tactic is a thing, so he would have been better off with the fox tome instead >___>

Congrats!

Did my 40 pulls. Got Brave Marianne(+Hp/-Res) and Erinys. Sparked for Gatekeeper.

Also pulled my first Benny, and he's +Def to boot.

Finally done with Seteth (He also has Atk/Def solo 4 as an alternative A skill), and Black Knight is an old friend(Arena core, got me to T20 for the first time).

They both look great. I'm also slowly working on Seteth as I get him, but don't have any expensive fodder for him

Pondering if I want to do another spark on the CYL banner or just wait until the Christmas banners return. I wouldn't mind a Brave Eirika(And I hate using up my free pull right away).

Speaking of hording issues, I'll need to make a decision on my CYL 3 free pull. Well, they won't get their refines until after it expires... Camilla and Eliwood are really the only two with outright important fodder, but I also don't really have a healer I'm working on at the moment so it may just be another Brave Eli for me.

If you are on the fence, you might want to wait and see who is on the Legendary Hero banner at the end of the month (leaks suggest Colorless tome Micaiah).

Harmonized Dorothea, Duo Lf, New Year Velouria, Plegian Katarina, Plegian Tharja, Valentine Alfonse, New Year Plumeria and Plegian Raphael

Plegian units are tempting, even if I don't have an immediate target for all of the fodder.

Red: Harmonized Dorthea would be nice, so would Duo Lif though I'm not sure who I'd give Fatal Smoke to.

Blue: A single P!Katarina would be nice for Flying Nino fodder(No idea when I'll actually get back to trying to merge her though). Not sure who would need DC + Null-Follow up at the moment.

Green: P!Tharja is also nice for fodder. Don't really have anyone to give Torch to that's lacking a prf. Maybe keep one in reserve for when(if?) Ricken drops. Don't especially need V!Alfonse

Colorless: Plumeria would be nice, don't really need P!Raphael.

A lot of "would be nice" for me, but I don't think there's anyone I'm specifically after.

But ultimately I have 16 days to decide so no rush as of yet.

Wow, I can't imagine waiting two years to pick a free unit. I would be thinking of situations where the unit could have been useful, but it sounds like you're primarily looking for fodder

Well I was able to pull Eliwood back in the day, who was the main unit I was going for. Otherwise I would have free pulled him for sure.

My original plan was to wait a bit before pulling for new CYL units, and I only intended to get Eirika and GK, but somehow, Yankees gave me the idea that getting everyone is not a bad idea. Just waiting for someone to figure out how to break B!Marianne. Funny how my plan completely changed and I was like "fuck waiting" lol

I've always taken the CYL free unit after I'm done with all my banner pulls. First place guy has been the refine winner so far, so it might be good news for Alm. I got my first copy this year, but haven't touched him.

After CYL, DSH is going to have to be a skip for me. Legendary banner...we will see about.

I'm not sure how to best utilize Marianne, but she appears to be worth it for uniqueness alone.

Still don't have Alm, but he will probably get a nice refine. Whether it skyrockets him the way B!Celica's refine did for her remains to be seen, but I don't think he'll be any better than B!Marth

I was hesitant on Marianne because of her art, and this is coming from someone who hasn't played TH. That artist is just bad at drawing faces

Wow, can't believe it. On the revival banner, there was one green and four colorless, and although I didn't care to get another Nina, I've been aiming for colorless whenever I can for that small small chance I'll get a FEdel or a 4* special I'm looking for, and I got +Res/-HP FEdel. Didn't even have to wait for LH banner!!!

Let the carnage begin. Definitely can't wait to put her on my AR teams, and she can be her own counter in arena :D

Shes now my most merged non-f2p unit. Maybe Ladlegard can tie her soon. New Sonyas attack pose is awkward though

Also, three great Resplendents in a row! Tailtiu is still the only mage with Wrath, which gives her a nice niche. She happens to be the next project im going to work on, so the merge is appreciated. New art looks good, too. I wouldnt have minded they continue with the green trend though. Cherche and Boey need Resplendents

I'm pretty happy with Tailtiu getting a Resplendent as well. Granted I'm not sure what build I'm going to give her. Currently rocking the classic Fury 3 + Desperation.

71 effective attack before considering buffs, that and moonbow should have some nice insta-pop damage on even more sturdier foes.

Ironic that I thought her refine was mediocre when it first came out, but it's pretty deadly with Special Spiral and has aged rather well. I'd prefer to be able to fire instant specials, but Lull Spd/Res does allow her to ignore bonuses. Impressive that she one-shots maxed out Bector with Distant Def seal, unless he happens to be in a ward cube

I prefer Sonya's new look, and she's aged fairly well with that weapon. Nice!

My 8 orbs on red were not nearly so lucky on DSH. Keaton is still very useful

Also last day to use up any unused July Divine Codes. I was lucky enough to pull one last Seteth before I had to get it here, but I guess I'll grab it anyway.
