yeah I was listening to a podcast and they were talking about how theres been a ton a great indie roguelikes/rogue lites but that this game might bring it more to the mainstream

Id be happy to see that cause I cant get enough of the genre but some titles can be just shamelessly derivative of more successful ones

I haven't been looking for one lately but I'll give you tips on how I found the one I picked up for my brother.

Follow restock accounts on Twitter, and turn on all notifications for them. It's kind of annoying because a lot of them post restocks for multiple things (graphics cards, fad toys, sneakers, etc) so you end up getting a ton of notifications but thems the breaks. I followed like 3 or 4 of them. Some will ask politely for donations for successful purchases but don't bother following any that flat out demand money, and DON'T trust any of them to buy one for you if you give them money. There's dozens of dudes out there who post restocks, no need to purchase from any site you don't trust. The good restock accounts will have all sorts of useful tips for securing on checkout and speeding up the checkout process to help ensure a successful buy. There's some legit good people out there just trying to help other people out, but be wary of scams.

When they post a restock, drop what you're doing and immediately go try to buy. Some sites they'll advise you refresh if it's showing no stock, because a lot of the sites will trickle out supply over like 20 minutes or so instead of posting their entire supply all at once.

It might be easier to secure a bundle, but those are more expensive depending on what's in them. I've seen bundles upwards of $800. I think one site was offering bundles including a gaming chair that put it over $1000. Wasn't necessary for me, I was patient enough to wait for what I wanted.

Sony Direct has a queue system. Get in it early and when it shows you how much time is left until the store opens to you, if you start out under 30 minutes you have an outside chance. Under 15 minutes is a pretty good chance. Under 10 minutes is almost guaranteed. If it shows you an hour or more it's pretty much a waste of your time but I'd never say never...

I ended up getting mine through Target. Got the alert and immediately jumped on the Target site and got lucky.

With how good Hades was I would have been fine paying at least $39.99 for it if not more. I think AAA companies rarely look at roguelites because they consider it a niche genre if this Returnal does well though that will change.

all I play on it is call of duty
spent like 200$ of call of duty weapon skins
they're way too expensive, like 4x what they should be

I will probably be able to play RE and maintain my focus on it
otherwise all i play is battle royal games

Okay guys. If you want a PS5 just follow these steps. You can get many of them. The trick is putting up with some BS notifications for a couple weeks.

1) Subscribe to the discord group and turn on push notifications.
2) Subscribe to Wario64 on twitter, hes too late most of the time. Push notifications.
3) Subscribe to that one sneaker group on Twitter thats focused on sneakers and also does PS5s. Push notifications.
4) Subscribe to more restock notifiers. Push notifications.

Youll be able to get like 15 of them within 2-3 months (not that I got that many) but I did get multiple because I wanted to make sure mine arrived and friends wanted one so it didnt matter if I had an extra just sell it to a friend for cost. Scalper friend also got a bunch. Youll get like 30 stupid notifications a day but youll get a PS5 relatively quickly. The trick is push notifications and making sure your info is already saved on each site. Dont even have to have your CC info saved, just shipping info.

There are a few more Twitter accounts you could follow too. ChitoGaming and Jake Randall were also decent iirc.

The best retailer I've had luck with was Target too. Target is different than most other retailers in that you have to use in-store pickup, so you are only competing against locals instead of the entire world/nation.

You try Craigslist? I see listings for PS5 all the time where I'm at...there are a few on Amazon too (albeit expensive Bundles)

I got to the second phase but wasnt quick enough to avoid that sweeping laser attack.
I think I was making the mistake of trying to dodge away from it when itll be easier to just dodge through it.

Yeah, dodging through attacks is often the better choice. I finally got past the second boss this weekend, hopefully it won't take me long to get to the third this week.

Sounds about right. I'm on 15 deaths I think and I just got destroyed by the third boss. The difficulty seemed to really ramp up on the third phase.
