What the hell is up with these long ass anime names that are like full fucking sentences? The names of series and movies should be short and concise. Jesus, are we gonna start putting the whole ass fucking plot as the title? Should The Hobbit have been called "13 Midgets and a Crackhead Go On a Motherfuckin' Road Trip Up a Mountain To Slay a Goddamned Dragon"? Should Star Wars have been "Darth Vader Is Luke's Dad Lmfao"? I could make an anime and call it "Uzuki-San Is Not Guilty of 11 Counts of Murder By Poisoning" and it'd be about a fucking guy who makes hamburgers and does nothing else and I bet it'd sell fucking BANK.

Naming schemes happen in cycles as copycat works aspire to reach similar levels of popularity as the originator. Isekai is a/the recent fad, so you see a lot of isekai with long names. Go back to the 70s and you can see a similar effect with everyone chasing Yamato's success, and probably Astro Boy's predating that (i.e. two name schemes for a lot of early robots/sci-fi, then a switch to three name schemes in the 70s/80s).

It's to help readers know what the plot is going to be about and hopefully pull more readers in. Because these were all manga or light novels before they were animated.

It's because they are adapted from light novels which are in turn written by the worst writers in Japan so you get shit titles like that

No idea what started it, but it's just a general trend in light novel naming to have really long names. It's probably just because they found out literally stating the premise in the title engages readers more in the sea of dogshit that comes out and now it's just industry standard.
