It was pretty good, I didnt like it as much as WandaVision, but still liked it. I wish it had Warmachine in it more instead of just episode one though.

Looking forward to Loki this Summer!

I liked Wandavision better over all.

The action and pacing for FWS were really solid, but the climax needed some more time for everything to resolve in a more satisfying way. The ending itself was beautiful.

Sam's Captain America costume and the US Agent costume are both beautiful, straight out of the comics

It wasn't that "bad". But it felt like a B movie version of introducing the new Captain America.

The failure really just comes down to one thing, they did a really bad job of explaining what ever the heck the Flag Smashers were. It left the series without a real villain.

They had a chance with the power broker to make her extra evil and the real villain, but that fell through too.

So in the end the show failed to have a decent villain.

US Agent being evil would of been cool, but nope.

Flag Smashers... came off as a bunch of stupid kids accidently murdering people with powers.

Power Broker ALMOST would of been a great villain if they used her more than just the last episode and a more evil way.

Also I thought the race subplot was done great. It didn't feel forced and brought up good points on both sides.

There is definite SJW garbage out there, but this was not the case here.

Also it was a shame Zeno didn't become the main villain, he was weirdly bad ass.

I thought it was boring as shit. I'm fine with them putting in the race stuff but the way they did it was so absurdly over the top that I couldnt handle it. I didn't like fake Captain America. The fact that a normal human could use the shield at all is dumb as hell not to mention that the shield is even worth using at all - Falcon's suit is objectively better than the shield in every way minus the super powers. Also Falcons captain suit is ew.

The subplot about Falcon being poor is weird and doesn't make any sense. I find it extremely hard to believe that who's working with the most powerful and wealthy people on the planet isn't getting a paycheck. That's weird as shit. Besides that, it really doesn't fit in with any of the rest of the plot. The only payoff you get from it is that Bucky and Falcon have their bro moment while they fix the boat. Except Falcon calls in a bunch of family favors from the community who show up and...do nothing apparently?

I have no idea what the purpose of the bad super soldiers were based on the show. Like, I guess they were mad that there were refugees after the Thanos thing or some shit? Or they wanted it to go back to when everyone died after Thanos? I literally have no idea.

Falcon vassilated between 'I'm black and I can't be Captain America' to 'I'm black but I never knew what it was like for other black men' constantly. I don't know why Isaiah would care that he got a statue in the Captain America museum. That doesn't change the fact that he was imprisoned for 30 years and his wife died during his time. I don't think he was even particularly looking for recognition so much as to not be treated like a second class citizen. Was a statue really all it took to make up for decades of abuse?

The show was so ham fisted and had poor delivery. Worse than that it was just boring.

Wait seriously. I haven't watched anything yet but I thought this was gonna be the whole point of this series in the end. I'm already disappointed.

Wandavision was much better. FaWS had too much going on and many of the components were bad.

The Flag Smashers were atrocious, and it's not like they had a lot to live up to. A group of randoms with Captain America powers is already fairly non threatening to begin with by MCU standards, it's completely unbelievable that they're a threat to Bucky and Sam, especially when they can be killed by anybody with a pistol. Their goals, connection to the Power Broker, and the exact nature of their plight are left a bit too open ended to be understood.

But the real issue is the fact that Sam is meant to feel such a deep connection to their leader, to the point that he is willing to let her kill him, and I have absolutely no idea as to why. How are they different from the hundred other groups Sam has fought against?

The Power Broker was another huge misstep. I just want to point out that when the Power Broker finally does reveal themselves, they do so at a time that's incredibly compromising for them. None of their actions make sense for a supposed criminal mastermind.

It's shit that Batroc exists in the MCU and is so bland and forgettable when his comic counterpart is anything but.

Onto the good parts:

Sam and Bucky were great, aside from the relationship between Sam and the Flag Smashers. Sam's fighting style, incorporating his jetpack, wings, and shield, was also really fun and I hope to see more of it in the films.

John Walker was great but he felt rushed. Hope to see more of him going forward.

Zemo was really great, even if he's a total retcon. Also him having the mask on for 15 seconds was stupid.

The subplot with Isaiah was great.

Overall the show is very inconsistent in quality, which feels uncharacteristic of Marvel Studios. I suspect the rumours of plot rewrites and cut content are true, because otherwise it doesn't make sense.

I only made it halfway through the first episode before getting bored. When does it pick up?

Episode 2 is honestly when it picks up. Episode 1 was kind of a waste of time.

To be fair, he isn't really a villain in the comics, just kind of a dipshit.
