I personally loved Tower's gameplay, and the music being hype was a given, but while I certainly appreciated the bamboozle that this was a Drakengard story the whole time, not an Automata one, it does not salvage the rest of story being a massive "whatever."

I also needed a pun for the title and didn't want to pay Jakyl to make one.

My experience with Samurai so far is that it's incredibly simple in theory but BOY is it tough to come up with a satisfactory controller layout for it.

I play Controller and have managed orange parses on Samurai in Savage. It's really not bad. Summoner is the job I can't play worth a crap on Controller.

I occasionally play Mahjong or do the mini cactpot, plus the weekly. That more than tides me over unless I'm specifically going for something.

Doing fashion report every week is a huge and easy chunk of MGP. Make sure to pop one of the MGP buff squadron manuals when you do it too because it gets buffed by that.

There's a small mahjong scene on Primal. It's a blast when people are queueing.

We've even had a small unspoken anime storyline going with an unusually lucky prodigy climbing the rankings, a frustrated rival who can never get that elusive 2k rating, recurring characters (one of whom changes her outfit between every game), and some wacky-ass yakuman.

I think I just need to mess around with the Tank UI and reposition the boss health to see their attacks easier.

Same. I love the area aesthetically but it's a total miss on hub design. And you can't even mount and afk smh. It's the total opposite of Reach which was boring as shit but you couldn't get lost in.

I just want everyone to hang out in Idylshire again...I'm sorry for making fun of the bagpipes...

Second time through the tower. Red Girl is really the only somewhat difficult fight in there. As cool as the last one is, the mechanics are all very simple.

Hansel and Gretel can be rough if your healers are lazy and don't realize it's always two raidwides in a row.

Good news! Job quests are apparently a thing of the past. Yoshi said at the last announcement bonanza that they're going to do role quests again in EW.

this is not actually good news as it means we may never see another DRK-exclusive questline again

Give Intervene before level 50 please. And remove Enhanced Requiescat. Just make it a part of base Requiescat. I suffer every time I do Eureka as PLD.

I've got two screenshots from two separate occasions when I went into a raid and every single DPS in my alliance except me was an RDM

I get it, ESPECIALLY after watching all these WeskAlber videos. RDM is just such a straightforward, easy class to play combared to every other DPS, almost nothing you have to actually think about, and exciting burst damage faze, while also have rad aesthetic and one of the most insane emergency utilites in the game with rapid raising.

I'm sure on the high level content things are much more variably, but for normal content RDM just seems like THE class for the casual player.

RDM is great for prog, bad for parse, generally.

That said, a great RDM is better than a mediocre anything else.

RDM is for griefing your allies with LB3.

Because seriously I have a hard enough time seeing shit in Paradigm's Breach without each alliance's RDMs constantly blinding the group with LB3 and not bothering to help the healers pick the mass wipe back up.

Redmage is fun but the sheer concentrated number of bad ones constantly screwing over runs by turning the brain off... ugh.

imo people overstate the importance of parse. If your team can press buttons well enough (which they should be if they're attempting Savage), you shouldn't struggle with enrage checks. Consistently clearing mechanics will always be the #1, #2, and #3 most important reasons to clearing tough content.

(This is why ranged physical will never have big Samurai damage. Easiest mechanic clearers out of any role or class.)

Honestly, if you're playing RDM, don't put LB on your hotbar. Just don't.

RDM I'd say is second easiest after Dancer. The optimization with engagement/displacement, reprise, and casts is at least something. Dancer you just go.

I've been practicing Summoner lately. On Controller. Oh boy it's hard but really fun. And Phoenix feels so relaxing lol

As everyone else is pointing out, they're both the among the easiest jobs in terms of personal job mechanics and movement for fight mechanics, and I dont know why both have to be the case!

MCH's rotation becomes constant way before 80! It happens at 70 or mid 60s or something? In fact it gets easier at 80 because by then you get three charges of your ogcd spamming abilities. Certainly one of the easiest dps jobs.

DNC at 80: chill bell noises, forgetting Improvisation is there for raidwides, accidentally flooring yourself on counterattack from Technical step on Hansel/Gretel.

BRD at 80: applying DoTs, then trying to unload all the other dps abilities before Iron Jaws to replenish, hitting Apex Arrow at the 100 noise, and crying to party/alliance when Perfect Pitch procs maybe once. Also being a backup Esuna for the healer.

MCH at 80: *confused panic during Overheat window*

To play decently, sure. To play super well and avoid clipping your big stuff, dear god it's rough.
