How do you all feel about the constant lockdowns and Doug fords handling of it?

We've been opened and closed routinely for months now, layed off and rehired 5 times so far, gyms and clubs closed for over a year and life in general hasn't been normal since it here.

I'm looking at the news and social feed from the states and it looks like they've been fully opened for months. Im just so frustrated with this living in Ontario it's like we've made no progress since last year.

The new restrictions with what you can and can't buy at the store are fucking stupid.

It's my daughter's birthday coming up so I wanted to buy her some giftcards from the Real Canadian Superstore but they wouldn't sell them to me because it's not essential.

Im close, but not in the GTA.
Im frustrated by it, but staying home is what will stop it. The 20 or so kids playing basketball in the schoolyard next to my place isnt helping things, but whatever...

Yeah, it sucks. The thing is these spikes always happen after major holidays. There were spikes after labor day, Thanksgiving, Christmas and this is the Easter spike. It's so predictable now.

I do not receive notifications, so using the @ feature will not do anything. I might see your post and respond though if I have already been in the topic.

I'm sure the nicer weather we've been having helps contribute to the rise in cases as well. I see people gathering in groups everywhere I go.

Ford gov't looking more ridiculous and pathetic by the week, especially now with all the police department announcements since Friday just immediately going 'lol nope' to new rules. So the only meager silver lining here is we won't have conservatives in power after next prov. election, i would bet

This entire province and country is fucked
